First of all the mic input is mono and this is only stated on the box. Sneaky.The mic gain level is really low compared to the cheaper Tecknet version I have. You have to turn on AGC in Windows settings to be heard at all in Windows Voice Recorder.I tested it with a ModMic 4.0 directional version but it's being returned immediately. It might be OK with other mics but it's certainly a downgrade compared to the Tecknet USB Audio Adapter.

The cable's thin and not very long, the audio quality is nothing to write home about.The audio lacks clarity and resolution; if you're listening on anything vaguely nice-sounding, look elsewhere - your music will be lacklustre on this. My dock has a better built-in audio chip.I'd guess that the chipset in this adapter is the same as used in many other cheap USB audio dongles - save your money.

I had a 3.5mm jack splitter and was running my Sennheiser HD 6XX & Antlion ModMic 4 through it. The modmic had a lot of background noise and didn't sound the best this way.I use voicemeeter Banana to keep an open line of communication with my significant other through Ethernet at home. He was hearing a constant buzz and all of my computer audio was also going through voicemeeter because I used a jack-splitter and not separate input/outputs.The AGC in this sound card works very well to remove unwanted noise. Since it splits the input/outputs it fixes my voicemeeter issue as well.

Since lockdown and homeschooling, I have been unable to use my regular Blue USB mic because of background noise. I bought this thinking it would be able to help. It's only giving me headaches. Imagine recording a complete voice-over only to find out the recording is full of static and noise. This is with every other app turned off and wifi disconnected and a powerful iMac. The regular sound without static is so low and crappy you need to give it so much of a gain boost it will sound even worse. Stay away. A waste of good money ..

Does not work with some aux cables, because they cannot insert far enough for both the audio channels to work. Did not work for me for 2 aux cables, and 2 other aux cables I had to press down with pressure

Ich kombiniere das Interface seit einigen Monaten mit dem ModMic von Antlion und dem Beyerdynamic dt770 pro und habe damit ein perfektes Headset.Der dt770 ist gut isoliert, das Mic ist sehr praktisch und einfach zu benutzen und diese Soundkarte hier tritt einfach nicht in Erscheinung. Man denkt nicht drüber nach, muss sich um nichts kümmern. Einfach einfach. So soll es sein.Und auch beim Hören von Musik oder Videos hat die Soundkarte deutlich mehr Druck und Klang als der eingebaute 3,5mm Stecker am Notebook.
