Big Questions from Little People . . . Answered by Some Very Big People

This was a last minute "incidental" item that my son mentioned before Christmas. Because we are always encouraging him to read, I ordered this as a last minute gift. While he loves this book, I found that it was difficult to get. The Amazon reseller had it at a fair price, but with steep shipping and no shipping speed options. So, my son got the book a little after Christmas and it cost more than I wanted to spend, but he read the whole thing as soon as he got it. Highly recommended.

It has a broad scope of smart questions, each with an answer from someone who addresses the topic thoughtfully, intelligently and age-appropriately. Before our six-year old could read, my wife and I would read a few random questions from the table of contents to him and let him pick which one he would like answered. Now he just picks up my Kindle, swipes his way to the book and off we go.Thanks for a great book. We all hope this turns into a long-running series.

Knowledge for children by experts. Much better than Tell Me why?

I recently purchased this book for what was supposed to be a Christmas present for my nieces, well it didn't quite make it till Christmas (I spoil them too much) but they loved it! It's a very clever book with funny questions and interesting answers, the kids thought the answers were hilarious and with questions such as "how do they know all snowflakes are different" and "what is the strongest animal" i actually learned a thing or too as well, Highly recommended as a Christmas present or just a coffee table filler.

I bought this for my 8 year old boy. He read most of it and he thinks it is very good. He likes that it had questions answered by famous people. My son likes asking lots of, "big question". The way the answers are written is appropriate to hold the engagement of a younger reader. I have to confess having read a few of the chapters myself and enjoyed it, I would recommend this as a good book for 8 year olds.

bought this for my mother as a christmas present , it came quickly and was packaged well. the hard back is well worth the investment ,beautiful quality and the book itself is a laugh to read and soemtimes really makes you think . i cant wait to give it too her so we can talk about it as ive already read it through :)
