Way better than some of the reviews let on - this is pretty cool looking and well made - pros & cons
OK, I was a bit skeptical about ordering this mask for just a joke to wear to work a couple of times... I mean, I could have bought the $14 one, but for $10 more I thought I'd get a little better one. Glad I did.First, I'm not sure what mask some of the reviewers received that gave this mask such low marks. Yes, it is not real leather, but a fairly thick like Naugahyde (I'm showing my age) that looks like leather, kind of. It did not smell bad even when I first opened it like some people complained of.Yes, it came flat packed, but the mask opened up and held it's shape without the paper towel stuffing in the beak that some said they had to do.The eye lens are fairly easy to look out of, but like a bird's view, they are not facing straight forward, but rather on the sides of the head... yeah, like a bird. I imagine wearing this for a long time would be hard because your straight ahead view is blocked by the bird beak. For fun I even tried it with my glasses.... which is pretty much a no-go.My wife who; a) hates Halloween and b) dislikes masks/dressing up etc. said "Wow, that's scary as hell, and looks pretty well made.OK, pros and cons of this mask.Pros...*The cost is OK for something I'll probably only get a few wears out of before I give it away to my daughter*this material looks like shiny leather and is thick enough that it hold the shape of the bird beak really well.*the little metal vent holes along the bottom do give some ventilation..*the eye lens are pretty easy to look out of... I don't think I'll replace them like some people suggested*the straps also have a top strap which helps support... some cheaper masks only have a single strap*this thing is actually stitched together, and has metal grommets which adds to the quality look.*OMG, that thing shipped to my house in less than 36 hours.Cons.....*I have a slightly bit larger head than average... and this fits OK, so a young teenager might fit OK< but a "big boy" lugger head might not fit this well.*Not the easiest mask to look out of.... the lens are slightly tinted and they are mounted on the side of the mask, so looking forward is a little challenge.*I imagine this mask, like all full face masks will be hot to wear and steamy with your breath trapped in the mask.... along with the traditional garb that is a long coat and a top hat of some type.... or a hoodie.*It's made in China...… but what isn't now days (there probably are some USA made for $150+)Would I buy this again? .... NO, ha ha ha.... because I got one which is enough..... but I'd tell my buddies to buy this one so we could flock together. I'm glad I bought this one though. Actual pics of me... 99F outsidedisclaimer; this is NOT a mask or face barrier adequate to protect against COVID-19.... If you are so inclined, just wear a surgical mask underneath it if you are going out and about.

I was impressed
I was really impressed I figured it would be made with cheap plastic but it looked expensive was made of nice quality material kept its shape and functionality, it was a nice thicker material that looked really nice, My son wore this for part of his Halloween costume and even with the tinted eye lenses he had no problem seeing at night to trick or treating. So fun

Needed some adjustments, but overall a good mask
I bought two of these masks, in black and white, to use for some pandemic wedding pictures. The masks themselves were well constructed, though I did notice the material around the buckles seems to bend a lot. Not sure if these would last long with frequent repeated use, but they worked well for a one-off costume piece. The white was more of a light ivory than a pure white, but I actually preferred that as it matched my dress. When wearing these, the masks did fog up a bit and it was hard to see out of them. However, this might have been because we were wearing cloth face masks with carbon filters underneath them, so there was less air circulation to begin with. These masks have two straps to encircle your head at the temples, and one strap meant to go over the top of your head to keep everything secure. I did not like the look of the top strap, so just tucked that one into the bridge of the mask's nose and used only the two horizontal straps. The masks still stayed on securely like this, which was great. The only complaint I have is that the tip of the nose lies a little flat on these, even while wearing them. I stuffed some cotton in the noses only at the very tip, and that took care of the issue.

Nice, fun product that may provide function
I bought this more as a joke during the current virus crisis, realizing that in fact, a filter could be put into the nose cone, to filter the air being inhaled. It can't be any worse than cloth masks which serve little function in keeping out small droplets. That aside, I had read a few bad reviews about cracked eyepieces and fit. Mine arrived fully intact, nice and clean, and looking great.I should mention that at 6'6", I have a larger head than average. I was worried about the fit. Yes, it could be a bit bigger to provide the perfect comfort for me, but as it stands, it works just fine. I just had to play around with the strap, and placement of the mask. Once set in place, it works well. Also, while it seemed like it wouldn't work that well, the eyehole placements are just right. If someone is expecting perfect vision, then they don't comprehend how masks work. LOL!! The way it is, I can see fine, better than expected, with no distortion.Going back to the complaints about cracked plastic eyepieces... if you have any ability in crafts and such, I would recommend removing the plastic circles, and replacing them with glass discs - making absolutely sure that you have them held tightly in place. I think that could provide better viewing as well. And another idea I had, but haven't tried yet, is to attach a small battery-powered LED light at the top of each eye-hole, taped on to keep out light bleed-in, to make the eyes "glow." There is quite a bit that can be done to upgrade this mask. But as it is, it fits great, looks really nice, and is a fun thing to wear to various events or "just because."

Great product but can't wear for too long
This mask is made really well and it's definitely worth the money, but I found it to be more of a photo prop and less of a wearable costume piece. I had ordered it with the idea in mind that I would wear it all night on Halloween. However, when I put it on, not only was it a struggle to breathe through but the eye windows kept fogging so bad that I couldn't see anything. I guess it depends on the climate of where you live. We had humidity and 70 degree F weather here, so maybe that's why. Otherwise, it's very comfortable, easy to adjust, and looks fabulous in photos.
