Ocun Crack Gloves for Crack Climbing I Rock Climbing Gloves

These are quality gloves for rock climbing, and I’m glad Amazon made it easy for me to order them last minute as a Christmas gift for my son.

These are my favorite light streamlined crack gloves. Comfortable and minimal, pretty durable, just a little protection for the backs of the hands.

I heard the newer model is better, but for my first crack gloves this is good enough to protect my hands. It's easy enough to put on though I see where the thing would break in the future, though probably not in a long time. It's made of thick material and if you're not yanking the strap as you're tightening it, it would probably be fine for years. I'll update this review if something different occurs.

Bought these here because the climbing stores didn't have my size. I waffled between these and the thinner ones. Also thought about the black diamond ones. Didn't regret my choice. These are amazing and now I feel like my hands are naked if I ever try a crack climb without them.

Work great for indoor and outdoor cracks. I love how lightweight and durable they've been. The velcro strap having a spot to hide away is awesome as the gloves never loosen while climbing. My only "qualm" is that for some jams, especially thumb heavy ones, you likely aren't going to have protection on the side of your thumbs. You'd likely want a different pair like the BD ones.

Great crack climbing glove with extra thickness where needed although they run small.

I have been crack climbing with these twice a week for a few months at Vedauwoo in Wyoming, which has really rough granite, and there is no sign of wear on the gloves. I have cracked climbed before without gloves, just tape, and I won't ever go back. Taping is such a waste, it takes time to tape up, and the tape never holds as well as I would like. I also love the extra grip and padding these gloves give me. My boyfriend also has a pair and he loves them as well, as do many other climbers that I have bumped into. I hear that the Black Diamond climbing gloves aren't durable at all.

I've had these gloves for a while now and they've held up well so far. They've more than payed for themselves with the amount of tape I've saved, and are great for gym cracks which (at least in my experience) are quite a bit rougher on the hands than outdoor cracks. The way the velcro strap is covered is also great. I've found with other brands I end up wearing through the strap before the glove itself because it's not protected. As an added bonus it also helps to keep the velcro firmly in place so there's no chance of it accidentally coming undone.

Should have bought these years ago. I thought I bought them too small at first. I followed their sizing chart and came out as a large. At first they seemed too tight, but they have stretched into my hands perfectly.

So this year, after 10 years of climbing I decided I need to figure out how the hell to crack climb, After many (failed) attempts to tape up, usually resulting in the tape coming off half way up a climb and getting terrible rock-rash, I tried on some of these gloves and was sold. Your hands are a little bulkier so they don't fit in the same width cracks the same, but you get used to it and the jams feel way more bomber, with the rubber on your hands. It's like cheating (and it's way less painful)
