4 stars, but disappointment
Aulos makes excellent Recorders and you will get them with this set, but the case is not excellent. It’s rigid outer shell and hardware are good quality, but neither the shell nor the lining matches the illustration in the Amazon listing. I understand the intended style of the lining but their dismal application makes me wonder how it got past QC. When I purchase a 'cased set’ not only is the quality of the instruments important, but the case is, as well. For the $100+ price, I expected to receive what was displayed. The case I got has randomly crumpled, loose material that lifts every time an instrument is removed. With daily use it will be cursed, and the fabric will fail in a few weeks.

Great Sound
Joined a local recorder group and needed to upgrade in style. Been years since playing one, but having good quality recorders makes learning to play so much better when the sound quality is right.

Keys are not what is indicated
The soprano recorder is NOT in the Key of C (the Alto Recorder is). It appears that the Soprano is in the key of F. I compared to my Concert Flute (of which is in Key of C) because something sounded off. And sure enough - yeup, not the keys as indicated overall. (when somebody had asked the keys). In the description of this product, it doesn't say what the keys are of either instrument. I am going back to the Aulos website to try to figure it out. Overall, the recorders have a solid sound to them. The Alto is a wee bit difficult to get the low G note - gotta have the fingers just right over the holes (like playing a chanter for the bagpipes except a wee bit more difficult - I play the pipes, too).

Better than expected.
I was expecting a thin cheap cardboard carrying case; that's not what I received. The case is a sturdy professional instrument case; the interior is lined with a beautiful red felt. The recorders are top quality, and sound amazing! A cleaning rod, cork grease, and fingering chart included. A good value for the price.
