GREAT ANTENNA - CABLE KILLER
I have a part time business installing antennas and it pays really well. One of my friends call me the cable killer. This antenna works great. It is UHF only. But I am receiving high VHF and FM also. I have installed over 50 plus different type of antennas since I started doing the installs in summer of 2010. This antenna is one of my favorites and easiest to install. I stay about 45 miles away from the stations in Metro Atlanta, GA. I am pulling in about 65 stations. All crystal clear. I have it mounted on the eave of my house on the second story. I use a Wineguard 2000 amplifier. I don't use rotors. We don't need one in this area due to average amount of channels you can receive from the towers. I just aim the back of the antenna to the middle tower and I able to receive channels from all three towers. Which gives me the average. But I have installed over 6 different types of antennas, but this is my favorite. I only paid $35.00 for a new one on Amazon.com. I compare the performance of this antenna to several $100.00 models I have installed. You can't beat it for the money. Good quality for a low price. Make sure when installing any antenna you get the highest possible signal without the amp first. Then you add the amp next. The amplifier is only going to amplify what you are receiving. If you are getting junk then it will amplify junk. I also believe in spending the least amount of money possible. Combine this antenna with a Wineguard amp and proper directional alignment the two are unbeatable. Other antennas I have installed are Antenna Craft, U8000, Antenna Craft C290, Antenna Craft C490, Channel Master 2016, Channel Master 2020, and Antenna Craft U4000. If you have any questions email me at, [email protected]. I am open for questions.I have purchased about four more of this type of antenna and it is becoming my favorite antenna. I did the last install on a 10 acre farm and it had about 2 acres of woods. The antenna push through the woods with at least 80 percent signal strength. Incredible. Need I say more?

does not work, it may on flat ground, but not here in appalachaina
ok>> truth is i live remote, i like living in the middle of no where, the advertising states its good up extreme distance??????i have an old channel master> 30 years old, not an hd antenna and thought i would up grade, add a rotor for Chattanooga(47 air miles)?,Atlanta (58 airmiles),,dalton(28 air miles) ,ball ground (21 airmiles). chatsworth,( 20 airmiles)so far on pbs channel 18 (20 airmiles) it is the closest station and only station the antenna will pick up> i added a booster (which works great now with the old channel master) also added a second booster inside both commercial grade products, so far ive spentmore money trying to get it to work. glad i saved the box, im sending it back!!ps i have service monitor since i'm a ham radio operator also> . it has less gain than a standard dipole aka to small pieces of aluminium rods> . so if i cant see on the service monitor its not going to happen on my tv>dr. dale (not md. phd.)

Good fringe antenna
Got this because I live in Olympia, WA about 50 mi from the broadcast stations I want to receive OTA. Paired with a CM 7777 mast mounted amplifier, a diplexer and a hi band VHF antenna. Aiming is necessary as the beamwidth is too narrow to cover both major station groupings optimally. Considering a rotator for my application.Disclaimer: I am at almost 300' elevation and my roof peak is 45' above the terrain so this is a great location to hit Seattle towers from except for the taller fir trees about 200' in front of the antenna.

So far So Good But I Have Changed my Mind
Just installed this antenna and was pleased with reception. I live 54 miles from the nearest TV station and all the local channel are coming in clear. NBC, FOX, CBS and ABC are 58 miles away and 54 degrees north northeast. I may have to add another TV receiving antenna to get my local PBS station which is 91 degrees due east 48 miles and the other PBS station is 184 degrees due south 38 miles. I may add a booster to the system. Thanks to one of the other reviewers who put me onto antennas.com. It was east to orient the antenna to the correct heading. I simple used my Android Razor cell phone's compass to find the correct heading. I also installed a grounding wire in case of lightning; I highly recommend you do this unless you are placing the mast onto the ground, but you will still need to drive a rod into the ground to assure proper grounding.I am sure if you live near a large metropolitan city you can get a lot more channels. I get 7 stations right now and they are FREE.One evening we were trying to find something to watch on my satellite TV which wasn't a rerun or some stupid TV show with cussing and fighting, I looked at my wife and said: why are we paying over $100 to watch reruns and this crappy TV? I want my local channel(most for local news weather)and I stream TV via the internet; Netflix and Hulu have all the shows I can watch. OH Yea much less screaming at the TV and lower blood pressure too.I should have waited to review, now the reception has become flaky, Sometime when the weather changes my reception fades, of the 21 channel with in range I am only receiving 5 well. The farthest transmitter antennas are 54 miles away, I have tried raising the unit but reception only got worst. I may have to opt for a longer range antenna. I noticed in the fine print that the channel reception range was limited.
