As a non-car enthusiastic (read: someone who had never put any aftermarket gadgets to all seven or eight cars I've ever owned over 20+ years span, until now), I am, surprisingly, finding a lot to love about this dash cam. The quality of the product was evident as soon as I unpacked the package. Everything was neatly wrapped and cushioned, and fit snugly and securely, and nicely laid out in a well constructed and compartmentalized box. The dash cam itself felt solid and heavy (so it'd stay intact in an accident? I don't ever hope to find out!) yet the design was refined - it has a grayish metal bezel that runs along the edge of the mirror that gives a nice, high-end feel.Installation was a breeze too - according to my friend who did it on my behalf. I believe it was completely in just a little over 30 minutes and off we go, and no special tools or adaptation were required. I was told it's really 'plug-and-play' and could've been done much sooner had I not insisted the very bare minimum of visible wiring. The recordings during the day had very high picture quality and the colors were true, at night though the rear camera recordings were a bit less clear and could get blurry in poor lighting conditions. It also picks up a great deal of sound from outside of the car at adequate audio level, so when viewing the playbacks they faithfully reflected what's happening around me during the drive, which is why most people want a dash cam I believe?My favorite part of this dash cam though, is the VERY VERY (yes I'm being loud here) user-friendly touch screen interface of the device. This is especially attractive to me because 1) as a non-car/non-techie person, I don't want to be bothered with switches or buttons or presses or pushes, I want simplicity; and 2) in my book, the less distractions in a car the better. I didn't need to touch the screen more a twice for anything I wanted to do - even though there's probably a million other things I could set or change but that is left for someone else to discover, not me.I am hoping the next model will have the voice command feature, so it'd be easier to keep the mirror totally clean and fingerprints free (did I mention I'm a little OCD as well 😊). So, for someone like me - again, a non-car non-tech enthusiastic who merely wants a well designed and sustainable product that delivers its promises, this is a great aftermarket gadget to add to your everyday driver (yes I said it!).

This doors EXACTLY what it says it can do! Store video or pictures of your driving. Can be incredibly valuable in the event of an accident. My only down side is, each time at startup, I have to tell it what I want to do. The SD card capacity could be higher, but it's not very limiting. Easy to install and use.

So far so good.I was wondering, the battery comes dead, is there a way to charge the battery before you install it? If you want to use it for parking security its worthless till the battery charges?Also it would be nice if it could text you a pix of someone in the process of somone vandalizing you car...

Was excited based on the reviews, I purchased it Thanksgiving but had no time to install it until late January. Box and specs are wonderful and it was easy to install. After installation backup camera worked some times and some times it didn't work (there is a button that flips to different camera views, sometimes button is there and sometimes is not there and displays only the front camera). It might be a loose connection on the backup camera I thought but it can also be a software bug to prevent the button to display, I am not able to test it. I connected backup camera to the reverse light and tried multiple times to see if by setting car in reverse activates the backup camera, that never worked for me, I can manually switch to backup camera but reversing doesn't automatically work. On top of that after driving around I decided to take the SD card and view the recordings, the back camera (whenever worked) recorded fine, but the front camera had some clips that had a black screen for the duration of the clip so something is definitely wrong with the front camera as well or a software glitch. A major inconvenience is that some settings do not work as reported by another user, what is annoying is that when you start the car the screen lights up and takes you to the main menu all the time (no setting to set preferred screen) which makes the rear mirror useless unless you manually choose the backup camera or turn it off so you can use the mirror (I back out from my garage so I had to deal with it constantly). The cherry on top was that I messaged seller rocky-genhigh and got no response, so I contacted amazon support, they gave me a phone number of the "manufacturer" so I can contact for warranty, the phone number is a used car dealership in Arizona....lesson learned.

This is a wonderful product. I have been searching for car camera for a while since my car had a minor accident. I do see some of my friends car camera with small screen. I would like to buy a car camera with big screen. When I see this product and read the detailed features, I decided to buy this one. After I received it, I feel I am lucky to choose this product. It is very easy to install the cameras and screen. The big screen can display recording from both cameras simultaneously. Two cameras guarantee every corner can be covered. It is very useful if any accident happened. The emergency recording is a nice feature, while I don't have chance to test it. And the video quality is good even in the evening. I am satisfied with this one at this price.
