Not Sheepskin
Not real sheepskin, but it is thick and fluffy. Not sure how long it would last, but not a bad price for a girth sleeve.

Merino Sheepskin cinch cover
Nice and soft but it is really narrow. I had to buy a narrow cinch to get it to fit over it and still have to work at it to get it over this cinch. There are also no holes in it for the rings in the middle of the cinch to attach your breast collar. Material is good but the design is poor.

I ordered 2 cinch covers. One white and one brown. The white one is absolutely merino wool and is the size listed. REALLY nice. The brown is something else. Feels like synthetic fur. I have other wool cinch covers and this is not wool. Also, only 3 1/2 inches wide. No chance for my cinch to fit. BUT I would say its worth ordering several and weeding through the bad ones. Great price on a great item when its the right one.

Thick, fluffy and long.
This girth cover is really thick and fluffy, which is great. It's also very long, I use a 20" girth and cut it so I now have two covers. The down side is that it keeps falling off the girth as I saddle the horse. It's very annoying so I stopped using it and will buy a new girth instead. Overall, great value if a loose girth cover is what you want.

Nice material but missing slots for cinch rings.

No more ouchies!
My TWH has very thin skin and gets sores with basially every style and kind of cinch or girth strap (for both western and english tack). It's easy to slide the strap into the elastic and this works for both types of tack. Now he gets to keep his hair and has no more sores. Now to put all those straps away that didn't work for him.

The sheep skin seems to very in thickness and softness. It is good for what I bought it for-to protect my sensitive Arab- but thought it would be more uniform.A little disappointed.

Super soft, slow delivery from China though
Great product, super super soft and seems to work –my mare's girth rubs a bit in summer, although of course summer weather has hardly been an issue so far! Also haven't washed it yet. Only thing was seemed to take forever to arrive – my own fault for not reading the details properly – it came from China!

Brilliant!
This is fabulous - I know one buyer commented that they didn't believe it was actually merino wool, I wouldn't have a clue but it feels fabulous, it draws the muck away from the skin (and cleans up very well with a damp cloth - wait till its dry though!) and created far less sweat than the ordinary girth on its own! It looks amazingly good too. ( I haven't washed it yet though - not sure what I will think then!!)

Perfect..
Perfect......but be careful when you wash it - I managed to shrink mine (probably not sensible to put it in the drier!). Still managed to get it over my girth but a little muscle was required.....totally my fault!
