Shopify Users Please Just Watch Youtube
I waited for a year to buy this because, yes, it is ridiculously expensive and also because the reviews are so bad. I'm worried about why the seller doesn't try and reach out to those here who have posted their problems all over this page. Does this company care at all about their Amazon reviews? They're atrocious.Anyway, the product is great for Shopify and I've seen the issue described over and over of the scanner all of a sudden "not working". Here's the thing, you simply need to not throw the instruction manual away. Even if you do, go on google and search "Socket Scan Mobile Get Started Guide". There are a few very important steps with this thing that tend to feel a bit tedious but are really simple...if you are setting up for the first time, changing phones or the scanner just isnt working...1. turn the scanner on (wait for it to beep flash blue)2. turn to the page called "Bluetooth Connection Modes"3. scan the "Basic Mode (HID) (default)" barcode4. wait for the scanner to reboot5. scan the "Application Mode (MFiSPP) for Apple iOS devices" barcode6. go to bluetooth on your iphone and pair it(or just go to youtube and put /watch?v=qXWN7K5U1dM at the end of the URL)1/15/24:If your iPad has the Bluetooth unsuccessful pairing error, do the same steps^ but begin with the factory reset barcode, before step one. It will turn off. Then turn it back on, do basic hid, then application mode, then pair on iPad under settings > Bluetooth6/11/24:our scanner stopped working today...shopify updated their pos software...now the pairing to the ipad shopify pos app asks you to scan a barcode (in the shopify app onscreen). What we realized today is that if we DONT scan that...and just hit next, it works

Socket Mobile Service
I was facing issue with battery i contacted the support from Socket MObile app and they got back to me the next day, and level of care was quite surprising as i thought no one would care since i am outside US and warranty is quite useless when i cant take it to service center i thought, but Steve from the company emailed and promised to help so waiting but still i am impressed with speed of response and care from their end. WaitingUpdate. I got my replacement device by fedex. It was super fast and it works perfectly fine.I am a happy customer.They really did what they said. It’s worth it.

Terrible Product...Terrible Support...Terrible Customer Care--WAY OVERPRICED
This is the scanner that shopify recommends for use on ipad so i was forced to purchase them. I have now purchased 6 of these and 5 are defective. i have wasted 6 weeks going back and forth with Socket Scan and they have no quality control program and will just tell you it works at their office. You cannot use this product for all the inventory functions in shopify. then the support team goes dark for days at a time. Then you go through a ridiculous exchange program where you pay to send it back and wait weeks for the new device if you are lucky.The performance is terrible anyway but there were no other options for wireless scanners on shopify. DO NOT BUY THIS SCANNER. you will be much better off buying a cheap wireless scanner for $20 and hooking it up to a laptop and everything will work perfect. THIS IS A NIGHTMARE that you do not want to bring upon yourself

Used on square and it works but has a lot of flaws
So we had a wired barcode scanner for our square POS and when that broke I decided to get this one since it was 1 day shipping and it seemed to be the easier choice since its wireless. This barcode scanner was a lot more expensive than the wired one, however, we figured that it would be worth it since its wireless. That was not the case. The bar code scanner works fine and battery is fine however, its not as accurate as the wired one. We have a lot of products that have a smaller bar code and it was either really hard for it to read the barcode or in some instances it would not be able to read the barcode at all. I ended up returning it and getting the wired one even though this would 100% be worth it if it was able to accurately read all barcodes.

I love this little scanner!It is a game changer in keeping accurate inventory. It works amazingly!

So Happy
So happy this scanner worked with our Square system for half the price of what is provided directly by Square. Never had any issues. Works well.
