You need to turn your hearing aids on and of and place on top of the box. This will pair them. You need the app on a smart phone to then change the program to tv. Or see your hearing provider to add an additional tv program.

No this connects to optical out from tv. If you already have a sound bar connected to it unplug and plug in Streamline unit. There is an output on the device that you can plug your sound bar to.

Q: Can I use this for my hearing aid and my wife still be able to use Bluetooth earphones?

I am pretty sure, the Stremeline TV works through the optical out and does not use the TV Bluetooth
