A Christmas Carol
B**N
One of the classic versions of "A Christmas Story"
Closer to original story. Personally, I prefer the 1951 version.

My dad’s favorite Christmas Carol
He saw this and begged me to get it for him. How could I refuse especially in December

GREAT Movie! (:
If you like Christmas classics or movies made from classic books, then THIS is your movie! (By the way, read the original Charles Dickens book too, if you haven't yet). Heck, I'll even watch it when it's NOT Christmas! It's such a GREAT moral story. It's SO FUNNY, and it's very well acted, and the film is VERY WELL PRESERVED. Looks just as if it was shot last week! The whole family would enjoy it! (:

Timeless classic!!!!
What is not to like about this movie? Out of all the movie versions this one has always been my favorite

Not too scary for young children.
It takes some liberties from the book and doesn't follow the details perfectly. But it is still charming and very family friendly. It is our family tradition to watch a different Christmas Carol every Halloween. I'm thankful for this version, that it is not too scary for the little children. And its short which is helpful for short attention spans too. It made us laugh and smile, it's heart-warming and very enjoyable!

Pay for a movie made in 1938
A classic movie about Scrooge and Amazon made me pay $4.26 for it! Talk about money hungry

Description of Movie is Misleading.
I love all these Scrooge and Christmas Carol Movies. I have Just about Every Version. Even This 1938 in Black and White. When I read the Description, it has this: Amazon's Choice for "1938 a christmas carol colorized blu ray dvd". So naturally I thought I was getting a Colorized Version. Received it and put it in the DVD Player and to e Surprise it was the Black and White Version. I guess I should have read further. In the Product Description it states:Product Description Christmas Carol, A (Blu-ray)In this adaptation of Charles Dickens's classic tale, an elderly miser learns the error of his ways on Christmas Eve when he is visited by ghosts from Christmases past, present and future. Starring Reginald Owen ("Mrs. Miniver"). Soon to be available in a new, stunning, colorized version! (Notice it's "SOON" to be)

Have loved this version for many years of the classic tale ...
Firstly this Blu-Ray will play within the UK. Have loved this version for many years of the classic tale and for me it beats the 1951 version no end. The BR quality is as good as it can be on this vintage film and sheer joy to have in HD, good picture and sound. The standard extras are regular quality only so note that.A very welcome release on BR disc and proudly sits in the Christmas collection.

A Christmas Carol (Reginald Owen) Region Free Blu-ray.
I Won't harp on about the premise of A Christmas Carol, but this Reginald Owen version looks very impressive in the Blu-ray format for its age. And once again, as with many films, Amazon highlights this release as region A. It is actually region free and plays fine on my region B player.

I love it!
I had fond memories of watching this on the telly many years ago and I was delighted to find it was available on DVD. But I was also worried that it wouldn't be as good as I'd remembered. I needn't have feared. This is a brilliant version. Absolutely charming. I'd give it six stars if I could.

Okay
Okay rating nothing to do with the seller or condition of product. I've been looking for the 1969 version of this and selected the wrong one. I received the product very quickly and its in excellent condition. Just not the one I wanted
