It was an excellent choice. For my installation
I thought awful hard about going with a different transducer at the trolling motor, but decided to give the SI model a try. When folks say that an SI 'ducer isn't meant for the trolling motor, they couldn't be more wrong. Unless you are out to purely get photo quality SI shots, the SI transducer can be used quite well up front, and can provide 360Ëš coverage by turning the trolling motor. It was an excellent choice.For my installation, I used a 'few' more wire ties than came in the box while routing the cable.The product arrived exactly as described and functions perfectly out of the box!

Love It
As usual, I was not disappointed with this Humminbird product. It was easy to install and worked as I expected on my 1198 side imaging fish finder. I put it on my Minnkota Terrova remote controlled trolling motor. There is a slot in the shaft of the trolling motor that allowed me to route the cable up to the head without interfering with the operation of the motor and the cable is out of the way.

Replacements arent cheap.
Expensive unit considering features, but its not like you have any competitive options. When some figures out a way to make a multifunction transducer that can work with multiple sonar brands, the cost of acessories and replacements might decrease. Delivery was quick. Transducer works well with my Humminbird sonar.

Doesn’t work nearly as well as the original
The transducer cable that came with my Hummingbird 899 years ago got caught in the trolling motor bracket and I decided to replace instead of repairing he cut wires. My mistake. I should have repaired the old one.
