The Complete Miss Marple Collection (Miss Marple Mysteries) Kindle Edition

Noting how several other reviewers have stated that this collection was missing one story or another, I did some research into the Marple stories to determine for myself whether or not they are all included here, and I am fully satisfied that they are. This is in fact a complete collection of the Miss Marple stories (and a full clarification of that is included at the bottom of this review).In addition, this is very nicely presented for the Kindle. It includes a full detailed table of contents at the beginning of the collection, and then each individual volume also includes it's own table of contents.Especially nice is how each book begins with a page illustrating the cover that appeared on the published version. This can be seen here on Amazon using the 'look inside' feature, and if you scroll down a bit you'll see the cover of Murder at the Vicarage. Each subsequent volume begins in the same way. Very nice.The stories themselves are presented in the order of publication. However I've also included below a listing that I obtained from the Agatha Christie website that provides a suggested order for reading the books and stories and I believe puts them more in the sequence of precedence from case to case.Miss Marple was, of course, one of the two major characters of Agatha Christie, and it is said that she was more fond of the Miss Marple character than she was of the more commercially successful character of Hercule Poirot, who she called 'insufferable' and 'an egocentric creep'! She did not ever write anything that included both characters together, saying that "Hercule Poirot, a complete egoist, would not like being taught his business or having suggestions made to him by an elderly spinster lady".There is a wealth of information available on Christie, and on the character of Miss Marple, available on the internet. I found the Agatha Christie website to be particularly interesting, as well as the wikipedia articles on her and the characters and various works.And so, for one-stop-shopping in order to obtain all of the Miss Marple stories for the Kindle, this is it. Agatha Christie is so snarky and entertaining, and I love Miss Marple more the older I get. This has all the short stories and novels (not in order) and is very much a comfort read for me.

I've reviewed all the books as i went, so this is specifically for the last bit, the collection of short stories with Miss Marple. It was so fun to read about the Tuesday night club mysteries. And the last one, with Bunch and then a wee peep at Inspector Craddock.

Oh how fun. I hadn’t read these for many years. If you think you don’t need to read the books because you’ve seen the movies you’re wrong; the movies often take ‘artistic license’ with the novels which warp the plot terribly.

I have been reading Agatha Christie Duncan was a young woman. Now that I am considered "old" I still enjoy we reading her books, short stories, etc. She is timeless and there is no one who can match her gift for writing an excellent plot. Her characters come alive and are easily likeable, or not, depending on their contribution to the lot. Excellent!

Greenshaw’s Folly is a murder mystery surrounding a curious old mansion and a suspicious will that is brought to Miss Marple’s attention through a chance association with a family member of hers. Intriguing story with eccentric characters, and a very entertaining read. This story was part of the ebook edition of The Complete Miss Marple Collection that I purchased, and was included in the Miss Marple: The Complete Short Stories Volume (as are the stories from the Thirteen Problems and Miss Marple’s Final Cases collections). If you are intending to read all of the Miss Marple stories, this edition is a good value and nicely organized for maneuverability and ease of use. Great Collection!

I can’t understand how someone can be as talented as Mrs. Christie. Each of her stories are different and very entertaining.

Agatha Christie is the best crime fiction writer of all times, at least for me. I had already read most of her books, but a long time ago. I didn't know I would like it so much now, and I even changed my mind about the character of Miss Marple. Before I thought her boring. Not anymore! She's a nice, cunning and funny old lady! Also I loved the opportunity to do a little time-traveling, because the stories were set in the last century, and besides, I love England.

In the 1960’s and 70’s I read some of the Miss Marple mysteries, and loved them. They also had me scurrying to the dictionary on numerous occasions as Agatha Christie had a massive and impressive command of the English language.I bought this collection prior to vacation so I would have something good to read in the evenings on the veranda of a cruise ship...and became addicted to Miss Marple all over again.A thoroughly impressive collection of all of The Miss Marple books.I recommend anyone who likes mystery to not forget the queen!

This collection was great fun to read. Even though Agatha Christie died when I was 3, I love the authentic English village settings and local colour. The character development of Ms. Marple is so well done and there is justification for how an elderly lady could be Scotland Yard's amateur sleuth. She's brilliant! Finally, the mysteries were surprising, to me at least.My only regret is that I've now read all the Ms. Marple stories.

Reading them now, excellent books and an excellent series.

Have been reading and loving Agatha Christie since I was 11 years old. She IS the best. Cozy reading here I come.

I have read Agatha Christie over the years and never tire of her writing. She is a master with a brilliant mind and unique plots.
