I read some reviews and where they still gave 5 stars I just can't. These are nice magnets and they did work for lighter loads but I got these with a different set of 100lb magnets with carabiners and these were not anywhere near the same power. These held in place tarps that were anchored at the corners with the better ones but couldn't be used the same way. meaning when I used these to try to anchor a tarp on a conex in the wind they eventually fell off. They held light jackets and bags but again, couldn't handle near the same weight as another brand. It's not to say these don't work and have function but they are NOT 100lb carrying weight.I found and will find other uses for these but buyer beware and know what your purpose will be.

The 100lb hooks work well for hanging things from the ceiling in a cruise room stateroom. As others have mentioned, the 100lb rating is the best case scenario in a lab setting. These hooks are easy to remove by pulling at an angle to the surface.Works well for hanging backpacks, hats, bags, etc. from the ceiling. Use 2 or 3 of them for a clothes line.

These magnetic hooks are absolutely perfect, AND Strong!! I highly recommend them!!

Read a cruise blog and one thing suggested was magnetic hooks. Cruise ships are all metal and these stuck everywhere. Hung various things on the walls, ceiling, doors and even in the shower. Liked them so much ordered a 2nd set when I got home as 8 wasn't enough. Showed friends and they want them now too. On the wall, if you put too much weight, they will slide down the wall. But they held clothes, dry bags, hats, lanyards and more. Loved them.

Work great and hold a good amount of weight.

My intent was to use these as a means of organizing my zippers. However, they were a bit awkward to use and I switched to a different style that extended further and had more curve to the hook.Meanwhile, I discovered these are sufficient to hold a few lightweight cleaning implements and my husband helped himself to the remainder.I have only 2 issues, and they are minor:1. The curve of the hook should be longer and or wider so that it can hold more than something very thin2. The attachment portion to the magnet has come apart on a few. While easy enough to slip back in, I found it useful to squeeze that portion with my pliers a bit to make the ends closer together. I think that will resolve the problem of it coming apart.

I use these primarily for key hooks. I imagine you could use them in a variety of ways. Potholders, etc. Unlike other magnets you'll find on Amazon, you'll be able to pull these off the fridge or any other metal surface without hurting yourself.
