The Coldest Pillow - Adjustable Fill, Washable Cover, and Best for Breathable Cool While Sleeping -Premium (Queen)

Ok so I waited 2 weeks to write a review because I wanted to give us time to adjust from sleeping on crappy bargain mart pillows bought from big blue retail/grocery stores. That said, the expectation that it will remain as cold as a block of ice throught the night is unrealistic! But these are cold to the touch, and if you want the continual chill effect, you will have to flip it throught your sleep. I do this already, often without waking to a fully conscious state. The outer cover is what delivers the cooling effect. I am not too sure that the gel foam inside the second case does much cooling, but it does cradle your head as if jesus himself were craddling your head in his lap. Despite some reviews and answers to questions asked, the fill IS adjustable, simply unzip both cases and pull some out. We store ours in a ziplock bag for future use. I wasn't sure that we would like using the pillows without a pillow case, but after trying it both ways the only real difference i found is without the pillow case the pillow feels a little colder but is much slipperier when trying to fold or mold( I, for what ever reason, never just lay my head in the middle of the pillow, i like to tuck the corner under itself). If you use a pillow case, it is best to find a pillow case made of 100% cotton of percale weave, as i found that other material really defeats the cooling properties of the outer case. To sum it up, it is a quality, adjustable to your preference pillow that has the best cooling properties that i have found to date. If that is what you are looking for, i would recommend this pillow.

Let me preface: I was hoping this pillow would replace my current pillow. My current pillow is amazing, but only is cold on one side. My current pillow was over filled, so I needed to remove filling to be comfortable. My pillow before that was the same. This pillow, after letting it decompress for more than 2 days, was so thin it was ridiculous. Think memory foam chair cushion thin.They do include "extra filling", but is a small fraction of what I would need to improve the thickness.I attempted to sleep on this pillow regardless of how thin it was. I folded it in half essentially. I am aware that no matter what pillow you get, the body heat from your head will warm up the pillow. That said, compared again to my current cold pillow, this pillow warmed up much faster, and was as uncomfortable as my current pillows' non-cooled side.I was going to take filling from my current pillow, and sacrifice it to fill up this pillow. That changed when I felt how quickly the "cool" feature dissipates. So, I will be returning this pillow.

********UPDATE**************February 8, 2020.30 days after purchase.I am still loving my The Coldest pillow, so much so, I needed to update my review.**I have slept so well, throughout the night, each night.**I can tell a difference in the alignment of my neck and spine, simply from sleeping on this pillow. **Less to no neck/shoulder pain**I wake feeling so well rested.*My headaches have lessened. In the 30 days I have slept using this pillow, I have not awakened with one headache.**More importantly, my *allergies* have almost diminished....I no longer wake up with my eyes watering and nose running; nor swollen and puffy.Thanks to the superior hypoallergenic material of the pillow, my nose, eyes and face are no longer puffy and swollen.*************************************Original review posted upon purchaseThe best pillow I’ve ever bought. I am very “pillow picky”. When I received this pillow, my first thought was “another waste of money”.It is very heavy.It is very full.That said... I have had the best sleep since night one of using The Coldest Pillow.I’m amazed. I would not have believed it. The pillow also stays cool throughout the night. I no longer wake up in the night with my head feeling hot and on fire; nor as if I’m having hot flashes I feel I fall asleep the minute my head hits the pillow.The filling inside can be adjusted. There has been some controversy in the questions regarding this. There is a zipper and you can remove or adjust the inside material to your specific likes/needs. I didn’t need to adjust my pillow. However, make sure if you use a pillow case, you have a true Queen size pillow case. To fully benefit of the pillow’s cooling effect, you do not need to use a pillow case. The outside case is removable/washable. However I prefer to use a very light and thin material pillow case (Modal from beech, or bamboo, are my favorite textiles for bed linens; plus they also have cooling properties of their own). It’s my personal preference to use a pillow case and one of these allow the cooling properties of the pillow to flow through the lightweight material.After my husband used mine during a nap, I have since purchased my husband his own The Coldest pillow. I couldn’t go one entire night without it. My daughter had a different brand cooling pillow and she, too, wanted a The Coldest Pillow. They are both pillow snobs as well and are now addicted to these The Coldest pillows, just as I am.My daughter and I both have used other “The Coldest” items (ice packs, water bottles, etc) and have found them to always be good quality, reputable and outlasting the competition. I use several The Coldest ice packs on my knee daily, due to an injured ACL.You will not be disappointed with this pillow. you will have the best nights sleep ever. I did, as well as my entire family. If not, return within 30 days. It’s that simple.While I and my family have certainly experienced these health improvements, in addition to the quality of our nightly sleep, everyone is different.I have not been reimbursed for this review. It is my honest review, in my own words.

Maybe it’s just my obsurd body heat but this pillow is definitely not worth 80$ it is probably one of the most comfortable pillows you’ll ever buy

I received the pillow and put in the extra stuffing and it took over 24 hours for it to return to full size, but still did not look like the picture. It is very comfortable and when you first put you head down on it it is nicely cool, but within a few minutes it is no longer cool and I have to move my head to another spot on the pillow. It does cool back down quickly in comparison to another pillow I have.

I am in peri menopause and this pillow is a game changer! It does stay cold, however, after a while it will warm up and I have to flip the pillow over to the cold side. I usually just grab it to lay my hands on for the night sweats or hot flashes.

This was one of the dumbest purchases I have ever made. This pillow has next to 0 functionality for what it is. The length and width of the pill is massive, 2 pollows in 1, rendering it useless unless if usi0ng it as maybe a body pillow.2 starts for the material quality and the cooling effect.
