navigates easily, survived 1' swells from passing boats
Maiden voyage today was a success! Smooth ride in the harbor, navigates easily, survived 1' swells from passing boats, easy to load, clean, and store after. BUT...one of the locking mechanisms on one oar cracked about half way through the trip. How do I go about getting this piece replaced? Other than this I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Good Kayak, but buy your own paddles and pump
I like that it's lined. I don't feel like my dog is going to poke holes in it with her nails. The kayak itself seems really great. It's not very fast like some of the plastic kayaks but it does the trick. My only problem is with the paddles and the pump. One of the paddles snapped less than 30 seconds in to its maiden voyage. I haven't used the 2nd one yet, but I'm not expecting a different outcome. I got 2 inflation's out of the pump before it broke.

I like the kayak itself though it is not very fast
First time out the paddles broke. So you definitely want to buy different paddles. I like the kayak itself though it is not very fast, it is durable.

Good entry level kayak, but be prepared to invest in new paddles soon...
Shipment arrived fast and was packaged well. The kayak looked pretty good, if not quite as heavy duty as my other inflatable kayak (a Sevylor Colorado I've had for nearly 4 years). I purchased this Elkton Outdoors to have another kayak handy, in case I have friends coming over, or if my girlfriend and I want to take separate kayaks out on the lake. The foot-pump that came with it works pretty well, although I prefer my double-action hand-pump (from the Sevylor), as it is definitely faster. Of course now we have 2 pumps, so with teamwork we were able to inflate it extra fast. Nice bonus.I have to say, I'm not a big fan of the regular style valve on the middle/bottom air chamber of this kayak. The outside chambers have Boston-type valves and appear considerably more sturdy, and of course they're also that much easier to deflate; unscrew the caps and you're done. With the middle/bottom air chamber you have to squeeze the valve while pushing the air out. I think the design would have been better served to also have a Boston valve in the middle, rather than the pennies saved by using the normal type. We'll see how well it holds up with regular use.We took the Kayak out on the lake and after not even 10 minutes on the water, one of the paddles broke, i.e. the plastic retaining piece crumbled apart, and due to the paddling motion dislodged and sunk in the lake. So one of us was forced to paddle canoe-style, while the other one at least still had access to a full-size paddle. We didn't let that deter us and spent another a good total of 3.5 hours on the water, trading the functioning paddle back and forth. However, going forward I'll have to get a new set of paddles - Or dear Seller / MarketFleet Inc., if you see this, I'd like to get replacement paddles if at all possible, thanks! Now, as I said we didn't' let this failure dissuade us from having a good time and the kayak held up pretty well. It steers nice, there's plenty of space for two people, the seats are comfortable. The only other downside besides the shoddy paddles are the fishing rod holders. They sounded great in theory, and I have to admit they were a top selling point when deciding to buy this particular model - but we found they didn't work too well with holding on to our rods - and unfortunately for the person sitting in front (my girlfriend in this case) they also tend to get in the way of your paddling (even without the fishing rods in them) so that you're constantly rubbing up against them or they're interfering with your stroke. When you sit in the back you tend to be fine, you just have to watch out where you swing your paddle when they're holding a rod.Beyond that we also tried the kayak out with one person and it works fairly well. Sitting further back allows you to paddle without the rod holders getting in the way, so you've got your full range of motion and don't get scraped up. You just have to watch out in windy weather and with bigger waves the kayak isn't quite as easy to control and the nose lifts up out of the water. Next time we try that we might put a heavy backpack up front to balance it out.All in all, a pretty good entry level boat. Just be prepared to invest in a new set of paddles... in any case, I'm looking forward to the next outing and hope it will continue to serve me as well as my Sevylor.

Cheap oar system
My first trip out I watched as one of the oars floated out of the side oar holders. As I paddled to get to that oar in the water the second oar snapped in half leaving me with one paddle to get back to shore see attached photo.

Loved this Purchase!
This raft is everything the seller described. Excellent quality! Also came with a sturdy carry bag for it when it's deflated and stored away.
