This book on its own should be up there with Big Blue! I'd go so far as to say it's even more informative as a Witchcraft primer. It covers just about every subject that big blue does but takes it a step further by taking you deep within the hows whys of each aspect of the Craft a newbie should know. For example, casting a circle gets an entire chapter of its own where you're taken into every tiny aspect, one step at a time, and you're encouraged to experiment and feel the energy in order to gather a deep understanding of not just how to cast the circle, but actually experiment and get to know the process on a deep level of detail that no other book comes close to.By the end of that chapter, casting a circle will feel as natural as breathing. And the same goes for every other chapter in the book, covering all aspects of ritual, spellcasting, sabbats, esbats, divination, the elements, herbalism, and getting to know the gods on a deep inner level, just to name a few subjects this book really dives into. It is a sequel to "The Inner Temple of Witchcraft", which covers the topics of meditation, getting to know the sacred within you, and honing your psychic abilities, and which I recommend as well if you are starting from zero, but if you already have a meditation practice, you can confidently skip Inner Temple and work through this book. It's a full year and a day course and I can confidently say you'll be your own priest/ess with a well rounded practice by the time you finish The Outer Temple of Witchcraft. This book should be on every modern Witch's shelf!

Loved his first book in this series The Inner Temple of Witchcraft and this one is just as good if not better. You can't go wrong with any of Christopher Penczak's books. He is very knowledgeable and writes in such a way that it is so easy to understand. His practical exercises are great and will help you improve in your craft if you do them consistently and with intent. This series is great for all solitary pagans (unless you don't like the rule of three, harm none, etc.) If you're looking to grow in your solitary practice or are struggling in your group work buy the book and do the exercises you won't be disappointed.

Mr. Penczak has done an excellent job covering the basic and intermediate level information in this book. I'm a beginning practitioner, and I believe this is perfect for the "uninitiated eclectic" Mage.In the Outer Temple, he covers Casting the Circle, rituals, building familiarity with elements, elemental implements, various divination practices, and more. This volume is so large and covers so many topics, it's more of a "Jack of all trades, Ace of none" thing.Personally, I used this book to orient myself to topics of which an Initiate SHOULD be aware and competent, read up on background information and beginning info, then went to Amazon.com's Kindle page and did searches for more in-depth books on these (to ME, at any rate) heretofore unheard of skills.He does a great job presenting multiple sides to all topics. If there happens to be a controversial issue, he presents the many possible sides, gives his opinion, but does so in a "these are the facts, form your own opinion, this is what I think" sort of way.Also, his purpose is to educate witches, but keeps it informative, not slanted. He assumes the reader is interested in becoming a witch, but understands his information is beneficial to all spiritual pursuits, so does not belabor this purpose. And he does a fantastic job at it.I've worked through the Inner Temple and the Outer Temple books, and tailored the rituals to my own faith. I know, KNOW, I am further along my path because I did the work Mr. Penczak so excellently prepared for me.

I absolutely love Christopher Penzacks works. As a gay witch myself, it's so refreshing hearing our side of the story represented. Moreover, If you're looking for a book with more practical spells that are heavily revolved around shamanic magick, then this book is a great source of indispensable knowledge. A lot of research went into the creation of this book & he doesn't disappoint!

Very clear and useful book to help the new witch along the journey. I love the homework after each chapter and the scientific explanations in Penczak's series of books. It helps to understand why things work as they do. It's not all fantasy here but grounded in experience and reason.

Another great book from this series. Good for an in-person class with a TOW teacher or for the solitary. I use this in my live class and it is great for learning about the gods, spells, altar building, and more. This is the 2nd book of the series. Book 1, "The Inner Temple of Witchcraft" focuses on psychic development and prepares you for having successful lessons in this book.

This book guides you to a spiritual awakening of your power as a human. It covers many aspects of the 'pagan religions' as a whole, incorporating our intelligence in understanding why and how our ancestors felt and thought concerning shamans, witches, witchcraft, etc. Giving us exercises to empower ourselves now, in these days, with the same abilities that were useful in the past. If you have an open mind concerning spirituality, this would be an excellent book to begin your learning and growing experience.

First of all I'm an avid Christoper Penczak book's reader, I like his style and his innovative approach on Magick.This is the second manual of his temple serie (the first is "The inner temple of witchcraft").This book is an amazing guide for beginners and anyone interested in magick.

I have nothing but words of praise for Mr. Christopher Penczak and anything he writes...

Great book. My favourite Wiccan author. I just wish i could meet him.
