The patches are pretty small and sticky. I’d recommend putting your nicotine patch somewhere the skin isn’t too sensitive — like your shoulder blade — otherwise, it can leave a red mark or cause a light burning feeling during the day. If you’re a heavy smoker or vaper, the patch alone might not be enough at first. I used nicotine lozenges alongside it (the gum is smaller, but it gave me hiccups). The main thing is not to just rely on the patch. Take some nicotine lozenges or gum with you, and make sure you don’t have any cigarettes or vapes around.
