Great summer series
My son really enjoyed this series. He has also read the Eragon series, and although the Last Dragon Chronicles is a much easier read, he was still wild about it. If your child loves fantasy fiction, this series is a great choice!

Awesome!!
Purchased this book for my grandson who has the series by Crystal fr Lacey and somehow we missed this one. Book received earlier than expected, packed extremely well and new just as described couldn’t ask for anything more. Thank you so much!

Suspenseful
This kept my interest and kept me on the edge of my seat. Definitely a must read!!! Makes you want to keep reading even though you have to grab another book.

Mind boggling when world's collide and mingle
I really enjoy this series and the characters are lovable. Sometimes it's confusing to understand, though. I may have to read it twice to actually get it straight in my head. Hooked on the adventures, I move on to complete the saga.

dragons!
Dragons, they have always pulled me into their mysterious world..... Their fiery world of wonder. Almost every dragon story is different, with villainous dragons to hero dragons, harsh or gentle, brave or shy. This book really pulls you into the dragon world in an odd way.... How they are so amazing and powerful, yet so vulnerable because of their fire. They also have amazing personalities..... Listening dragons, potion dragons, and so on.Bears hop into the mix, as well as mystery and wonder. And amazing explanations! The adventure is high paced, and fun. Each chapter leaves you hanging. I was shocked at the end of many chapters. The final ingredient to this wonderful book is the characters, so amazing and curious, each having a great, unique personality.I loved this book!

Filler book -_-'
This "The second book in this series" i feel personaly is not as important as the rest mainly because i accidentaly skiped it and never red it entirely but if you have not red the third book and are about to read this one you shold know *spoilers* the real action starts from the third book onwards...

Wow!
The first of the series - The Fire Within - was about squirrels with personality and clay dragons coming to life, but from the second book the story takes off into adventure and mystery and becomes a gripping thriller. I really enjoyed reading these books to my children. Icefire suits a slightly older audience than the first book and whilst I read this to my 8-year old, my 12-year old grabbed the rest of the series to read for himself and loved it too. David Rain heads off to the Arctic and we add polar bears and witches and shaaman to the mix, but there's still a role for the squirrels and the Pennykettle dragons begin to have more character too and play a bigger role in the story.

If you love dragons
I have fallen in love with series and as a pensioner with a love of all things magical and especially dragons this series takes me into a world full of possibilities and wonder for the future of our planet today. Very thought provoking, my hope is that the future generations to come can save our world as I fear for what is happening to it by mans greed..

As good as Harry Potter
The first book completely sucked my daughter in, who loved the first book too. It also has a very good message inside it. A great plot, lots fun inside it. A must read for those who have read the one before it(the fire within).

Present for grandson
This is the second volume in a series of books. I bought the first one for my 8 year old grandson who is a fan of dragons. He really loved it - think I might read them myself when he has finished them
