Walther P38 Soft Shell Holster Marked GXY 44

I received the item very quickly in the mail. Only took a couple days. The quality of the holster is fairly nice. Good leather and everything. However when I went to try and actually put my 1942 German Walther P38 that was brought back from Germany, I'm finding that it is so tight of a fit that I can't even get the entire pistol into the holster. It's sticks out towards the rear of the gun so I can't snap it shut. When the pistol is in the holster I can't fit the magazine inside of it. Turns out this is a fitted holster meaning you have to stretch it out and let it take on the shape of the gun and the extra magazine over the course of a couple days. Something I was not aware of originally.

Very good leather work and while the fit was tight at first the leather broke in quickly and easily with a little Lexol conditioner. This also took the shine off the new leather and made it more vintage. The stampings identifying it as a P 38 Holster and other stamped in information gave it an air of authenticity. I am actually using it with a P 38 CO2 airbus That is very authentic compared with my dad’s P 38 right back after the war.

Very well made and as close to the original as you can find.

I thought It was going to have a button, but instead they put a cheap plug. It also didn't fit my P38 exactly right. I'm removing this cheap plug and putting in a snap on button.

It's of moderate quality

It is as advertised. It fits the walther p-38 perfectly and has a pouch for an extra magazine.
