nice it came with the die elect grease also!
my 1994 f150 5.0 4x4, xlt 5 speed had a original black colored module...this thing is grey and has a small long tab on one side that i was worried would not allow it to fit the aluminum heat sink. my original motorcraft ford module has no tab on the side. anyway i did not even have to trim that tab off...the new module sat in the heat sink slot just fine. i did have to drill out the corroded module srews and put in heli coils in both holes...no big deal. then i used allen head bolts...so next time there will be no nonsnese or need for that special tool

So many ICMs to choose from....
From reading about Fords (and I have a 1995 F-150 5.0 auto trans F series......there was a change in 94ish on the ICM...when you look up parts, numerous ICMs claim compatability....either you have a distributor mounted module, or a fender well (with a heat sink) mounted module...the confusing part is whether it's black or grey as Ford apparently changed something in 94....any rate, this part is $20....and for my particular application is the best answer thus far....symptoms have been "jumping tach" 212 spout gnd code etc....I recently replaced the ECM w/ a used OEM original and thus far the ignition demons have left the building....note this...I have (2) autozone/advanced/napa or whatever they were, ICM modules first one burnt up....second still has the erratic tach w/ misfire condition..now there could be other demons anywhere in the ignition system ie. harness short, PIP sensor under the dist. etc, but all I can say is that in the end this module has out shined all the aftermarket part store swaps....also note, I am guessing I had a faulty ECM module and that it could have burnt up the over the counter ICMs....It's a dang mystery....I did not have the patience to go thru complete ignition system diagnoses to cure my 26 year old truck, but all I can say is she's running great today...all the Ford pundits say use OEM Motorcraft, but this ICM is working OK (as of today) Note: I have been part swapping relentlessly and finally got her tracking...thumbs up china....It's all made there anyway....

Got the job done
Purchased for a 92 Ford Bronco. Fit fine, works fine. Many say to use only OEM for this, but let's face it, they are both made in China, not willing to spend $100plus for a part that is identical except for having the OEM manufacturer stamped into it

It works
It says high performance, I can't tell any difference. I used a much better heat sink than the oem. Be sure if your vehicle has a grey module you order a grey one. It was late showing up. I plugged it in, and she fired right up. It took two purchases to get a good one. Originally it would hVe been a good value, at 20 bucks, but after the trouble of sending the first one back and waiting for the second one, I could have bought the 100 buck module.
