I'm using a couple of these to connect the balanced outs of a synthesizer workstation to our sound system. They are just what's needed. They construction is good, and the perform as expected. it's a fixed installation, so it is unlikely I will do much to test how well they last.

► This is basically known as an unbalanced Input Transformer Converter Plug or "Break-Out" Cable. It's common use is to allow a Low-Z Input Device (like an XLR Vocal/Instrument Microphone) to be converted correctly for High Impedence applications and be inserted into a Balanced input device like a Cue Amp before powering Studio Monitor Speakers, etc. For that purpose, this same "Break-Out" Cable usually comes in longer lengths and in pairs for Stereo listening options. ► For my purposes as a Recording Studio Engineer, this short length is acceptable for running certain hardware-software tests INTO an A-D Audio Interface (which coverts Analog sounds to be recorded Digitally onto Music Production Computers) to determine how to Acoustically Treat a Recording Studio Room before hanging up Acoustic Absorption panels. These Acoustic Panels helps make the Studio Monitor Speakers and the room itself sound more accurate and better when mixing Music for Global Audience Playback listening. ►

Used to connect a set of Presonus E5 speakers to a Behringer UMC204HD audio interface. Needed to go Balanced as I was getting interference on RCA. Works perfectly now. No noise. Delivered next day using Prime. Spot on!
