Mary Lake-Thompson studied art at the University of Colorado and the San Francisco Art Institute. She and her husband, Richard, met in the 70s and began a journey that has taken them from selling original prints at local art shows to a nationally recognized brand. Mary Lake-Thompson, Ltd. has designed and produced soaps, aprons, bath products, drawer liners, sachets, napkins, hats, and of course, their signature flour sack towels. The company is located in Oroville, California and now employs about 50 people. Mary's daughter, Sara, continues the tradition through her own, modern take on classic housewares called Montgomery Street Designs.

Not what I ordered
The plates do seem durable and lightweight, and the pictures have good color and clarity. Sadly, the pictures are not the same as the ones shown on the listing; they are not quite as whimsical. I am returning these.

So cute!
I really liked these plates and thought making them look like paper plates was clever. They seem durable. I did not actually put food on them so I am not sure about easiness to clean. The finish was flat to look more like "paper"

Nice little cookie plates.
Great little giftable cookie plates. Dishwasher safe but I expect the picture will wash off in dishwasher.

They are not microwaveable but they are dishwasher safe.
I used them everyday during the Christmas season. I kept them out for display. Love them!

Adorable winter plates
These plates look like paper plates but they’re durable, easy to clean and darn cute. Liked them so much I went back and bought 4 more similar ones.
