Absolute rubbish Not as described substandard certainly not worth the money got a far better version from the garden centre for £15Sides all cracked and pieces missing!

Wanted a tough mat for entrance to our village hall, and this fills the bill.

An extremely solid and durable door mat, I'm sure this Ultralux mat would stand up to even the kind of very heavy foot traffic you might get outside commercial premises. It is so good you may consider it a bit over-engineered for domestic use. I'd say it isn't - because it works perfectly and is likely to last for many years.On the reverse of the mat is a heavy, anti-slip vinyl backing which will also be kind to any floors you choose to use it on, whether indoors or outdoors, adding to its versatility. The twisted vinyl 'spaghetti' coils on the mat's surface trap dirt and moisture most effectively. Due to its size and robust construction, do bear in mind that it arrives rolled and is rather heavy so if you lack strength you may wish to have another person present to help to unwrap and site it.The 90cm x 150cm version is very large - so do check the dimensions prior to purchase to ensure it's suitable for your needs. Personally, I think it's ideally suited for placing outside at the entrance to a conservatory or bi-fold doors. Children can be less than accurate when aiming for small doormats - as can dogs - but simply walking across this one will take off quite a lot of dirt without fuss and given it's substantial size it's hard to miss. To clean, whether you use it indoors or out, simply run the garden hose over it - but this is not something you'll need to be doing too often as due to the nature of the material it doesn't show the dirt massively unless of course you have a huge amount of mud.I think you'd struggle to find a mat that's this effective, likely to be this durable, that will tone in with any surroundings and is easy to maintain. Not expensive given its quality and versatility, the material is exceptionally tough saving the need for the false economy of regular replacement as in the case of coir or fabric. I'd recommend this Ultralux mat without reservation.

We have been looking for the prefect door mat for ages, we have tried so many different ones but just not found the right one as we need one good enough to put up with 2 doggy’s and 4 kids who are in and out of the house like a jumping jack.This is the prefect door mat as it’s extremely solid and durable.It reminds me of a school or office door mat , it has a retail price of £69.99 which at first I thought was really expensive but since using it, I have realised I would pay this and even more as it’s that good you wouldn’t regret buying it.I can see this door mat lasting many years and never needing to be replace.The mat is very heavy, I couldn’t lift it on my own, has a anti slip vinyl banking so is great for any floor type, fits perfectly in my hall way but could be mistaken for carpet as it’s so large, very stylish in a soft grey and just does the job perfectly.I have cleaned it with a carpet cleaner and it has come up so clean as good as new, they do recommend to run the garden horse over it but I’m not to sure I would like to do this in the winter may work in the summer months.

This is one of those heavy duty doormats which really does take up a lot of room but it fits perfectly by the entrance door when laid horizontally.The mat is manufactured using tough vinyl coils designed to trap large particles of mud, grit, sand and dirt. This doormat will not shed or rot – a superior alternative to coir and fabric. The twisted vinyl coils make the top surface very effective at scraping shoes. Tight spaghetti layered coils also capture smaller dirt and dust particles and trigger moisture removal from footwear.This being non slip is perfect as there are no worries about any injuries when coming back from outside and it has been raining.Cleaning is very easy as you simply shake the doormat off or wash with a garden hose. If required, normal household detergent can be used.The only issue I find is the price is a little too expensive hence the 4*s only

This is a big, heavy 150cm x 90cm mat, it is also available in a smaller size or 90cm x 60cm.It arrived rolled but very quickly flattened when put in place outside our entrance from the garden. I had my doubts about it when I first received it, as the material of vinyl coils looks and feels quite strange.Having had it for three weeks now and with the changeable conditions we’ve been having, I must say I am extremely impressed.It is certainly waterproof.Mud, grass cuttings, leaves and moss from our roof have either been wiped or dropped onto it, but they have all been simply brushed away.The anti-slip backing keeps it firmly in place.It has been the wrong time of the year to really check the UV resistance.The one problem with it as far as I’m concerned, is that it only appears to be available in this grey colour. As you can see from the picture, it doesn’t really go well with the colour of our patio. What we intend to do is use it Autumn/Winter when it is needed most and keep our more colour co-ordinated one for the summer.When I ordered the mat, I believe it was priced at £46.99 (currently not shown), which for me is on the high side, although I accept that it could be good value if it proves as durable as it initially seems.Given the price and one colour option, I have deducted 1 star.
