The fixings supplied are really for solids floors ,as you would have to drill through the floorboards this would not provide a blind end to accept what is virtually a plastic plug (as you put in a wall to accept a screw ) into this plug fits a plastic insert on to which which the threshold strip clicks down onto .hope this is clear for you
