The Everything Large-Print Crosswords Book
These are my favorite crossword books. They are easy, interesting and there are a lot in each book. I find it entertaining to spend some time each day doing my crosswords and these books make it fun.

Outstanding!
The puzzles are challenging enough to keep it fun solving them, and the large print is a gift to my old eyes.

Not quite what my family was looking for, but it is exactly what it says on the tin.
The book's print is definitely easier on the eyes than others, but it comes at the cost of handling. It's a bit bulky, and it always requires one hand to constantly hold the book open since it cannot lay flat unless you bend the binding. This, surprisingly, is our biggest gripe with the book. The puzzles in this book make liberal usage of acronyms, abbreviations, and "for short" and "briefly" clues. Though clues like these are definitely to be expected, it can quickly become annoying to see gibberish letters piled up on top of each other (knowing the answers while having to guess how the puzzle-maker arbitrarily abbreviated is frustrating). This is occasionally exacerbated by short-answer multi-word solutions such as "AMI" (Am I) or "ASIN" (As in).*A side note: The clue formatting in this book does not warn you of multi-word answers. If you find crosswords difficult because of the numerous celebrities/cultural icons you need to know about, you may be inclined to try a book with the word "Easy" in its title. Unfortunately, "Easy" in this sense does not imply that you need to know less trivia (in fact, this book is littered with famous people all over the place). "Easy" means, in this case, means simple-synonym and fill-in-the-blank type clues. I even came across one clue that was literally: "+." (Yes, the answer was "PLUS"). On one hand, you may feel like your intelligence is being insulted; on the other, you may feel like you are being punished for not knowing these random people. All I can say is that you have to start somewhere, but if you think you can handle tougher clues (as in logic, not trivia), you may want to aim higher on the difficulty scale since the name-dropping frequency doesn't fluctuate much between puzzles. (And the same famous names tend to appear again and again between puzzles so you'll get the hang of it eventually). My last note: Sometimes, crossword puzzles have titles attached to them (and they are usually vague hints for how to answer the extremely long blanks that sometimes span the entire puzzle space). The puzzles in this book are simply titled "Puzzle 1," Puzzle 2," "Puzzle 3," etc. I do not think there is any theme or reason to the puzzles. I suppose that's why the book is titled "The Everything..."

I'm having fun!!
I'm really having fun doing the puzzles in this book. Since my eyesight isn't what it used to be, the large print is great. Some, but not many, of the clues and responses are in a foreign language, but they are simple words. I do okay with the German words, but my French leaves lots to be desired - but it's fun and keeps me on my toes. Now, if I can just learn to spell correctly..........??

nice variety
I like it but would prefer if they had less abbreviated answers required.

Very American
This book is so very American biased that it is difficult for British people to able to answer the questions. It also does not give you how many letters the answer should consist of or whether there are more than one word in the answer. Very disappointing!

Easy but not too easy! I like that! :)
Bought these hoping that they would be 'easy' but not 'too easy'. I have already done 3 in this book and although it has a lot to do with American stuff, I enjoyed spending my free time doing them so far. I've always enjoyed doing crossword books and found that word find books are too easy and too boring for me to do. As for the others I bought I also will try them out and then decide whether to buy another of the same titles that are out. This book has a lot of variety and easy on the eyes for sure, if you have bad sight. I don't, but still have really enjoyed doing them.

Wish the paper was better
The puzzles are fun and easy, I just wish the paper was easier to write on with pencil. It has a bit of a shiny texture to it and it's not comfortable to write on.
