This printer is absolutely AMAZING for the price. It can print really well, comes with everything you need to start, and it's pretty simple to assemble if you follow a video. It's very simple to use, too.I would say that the only downside I have seen thus far, is that I got the printer with the intension of printing miniatures for Dungeons and Dragons, and when I need to print something super small it has a really hard time printing them. However it's safe to assume any printer would have this issue unless it was specially designed for super tiny things, since the tinier something is the harder it is to make detailed strokes of plastic on. However anything bigger than an inch tall or wide comes out looking really amazing, and fairly detailed. The printing is so good that you don't even need to worry about sanding down "lines", it looks really smooth compared to other 3D prints I have seen that often some out a little bit jagged looking.I purchased from Amazon beause the Creality website wanted $500 to ship the printer to me, so my hopes and dreams died and I thought I wasn't going to be able to afford this printer. However this company on Amazon has the printer available for free shipping and only being about $50 more expensive than the vendor's website. So purchasing here was a no-brainer, it came in nicely packaged and everything was in one piece (which is a miracle for a small island in Alaska, most things arrived damaged.) They got it to me pretty fast for Alaska shipping, too.Also, The hardest thing to do with this printer is align the tray PERFECTLY. It tastes a lot of trial and error, and I'm still continuing to tweak it every now and then to re-align everything. But it's WELL worth it to spend the extra time tuning it by hand to make it perfect, it really makes the prints look nicer and pretty flawless.If you're looking for an amazing buy, great value, an affordable starting option, and you don't mind investing a bit of extra time into set-up, this printer is the perfect choice. I'm really happy I finally decided to save up for it, there's no better starter 3d printer than this one right here!

I have never 3D printed anything in my life. This is my first printer 3D printer.Aside from the tedious task of putting it together,it went together without any major issue.I started printing things just to see it work.Then I looked around my house to see what I needed and I started printing various devices that I found online that I could print and every single part came together great there was a couple of issues with the first layer but I chalked it up to user error and not knowing what temperature excetera excetera.For the money this thing is perfect if you buy all the accessories that you can get now like a new motherboard that makes it so you can't hear it print is very good upgrade and you can get that from their manufacturer's website

I bought this for my nephew and having no prior 3 D printer experience, I figured for the price it was worth a shot.1. The directions included are not very good, however, there are more expansive directions and a video included on the included micro SD card which you should download and print. Watch the video it is helpful. There are a number of you tube videos as well that can help.2. It comes in pieces and could be intimidating but if you download the files, watch the videos, it is not really that bad at all.3. There is no 'what to do next' after it is assembled, so if you are new to 3 D printing be prepared to watch some you tube videos. You will need to learn about CURA and slicing and where to get you files of things you want to print.4. Buy extra filament up front, it barely comes with enough to do anything.5. Tech support is done via email, so be patient. But they do respond.6. It is a GREAT printer for the money. Be prepared to invest some time to learn. If you are willing to do that then purchase this unit can't go wrong. It comes with a test image of a dog and after waiting on the extra filament it was perfect.Do NOT expect to open the box from Amazon and print your first item within minutes I kinda expected that so I opened the box 4 days before my nephew's birthday built it, got new filament, read a lot and then Viola I was off and running.In 2 days when I give him this he will be ready to go. This was my first 3D printer, it was pretty simple to set up and start printing after watching some YouTube videos and doing some tutorial reading. I’m very pleased with the quality of the prints and I’m loving the printer. Very excited to keep fine tuning the settings to get prints to be even cleaner going forward. Thanks!

I love this printer. I am new to this hobby, I didn't want to spend a lot of time and money on a printer, that may get pushed into a corner. This printer is not that. For a starter, it is well made and easier to print from, than the more expensive ones. No blot ware, just your favorite 3d software, slicer and gcode. Load the microSD and hit print. Wish it came with Bluetooth or WiFi, but a little walking around never hurts.

Fairly easy to assemble. It took me about an hour after unpacking it from the shipping boxes, yes it was in two boxes and packed very well. Make sure you find the SD card / USB reader (found in the parts bag) and download the PDF user manuals and read them before starting to put together the printer as they are better than the poster / directions that come in the bag of parts and yes there will be extra parts that are not used in the assembly of the printer. Hardest part of getting the printer setup is understanding the slicing program and then setting the parameters within the program. Watch some YouTube clips on both the assembly of the printer and slicing program which will help you a lot.
