Don't remember the retro bottle but I remember the sixties.. drinking KICK A POO.. Kinda remember the old bottles of Mountain dew... With the hillbillies.. Lil Abner and Daisy on the bottle... All in all brings back memories of a great time in AMERICA

On the one hand, you can buy this product newly made cheaper
But these bottles are advertised as "retro", so bought them for the nostalgic value. Expensive, but, well, I'm giving it as a gift.

Tastes like White Lightnin'
White Lightnin' was a soda that was made through the 1970's, and discontinued in either 1979 or the early 1980's. However, a couple of Coke bottling plants continued to make it into the early 1990's as long as they continued to have a supply of the returnable bottles. I used to buy this stuff in the middle of nowhere North Dakota in 1988-1989, and it's one of the best sodas I've ever had. I bet I drank close to 2000 bottles of this stuff over 2 years (3-4 per day). No diabetes yet!A couple of years ago, I saw this at a hardware store and grabbed it. It tastes EXACTLY like White Lightnin'. I wish it had a wider distribution as the price on it is super high everywhere because of the shipping costs. I always grab a couple of bottles when I go to the local hardware store that carries it. But if it was more reasonably priced, I'd buy it by the case weekly.
