It's a very straight forward, simple product. Made well. Only works on cooked potatoes, do not attempt smashing any that aren't boiled all the way through, they will get stuck. If you don't want to do any extra cleaning, or extra steps to mash your potatoes - I would not recommend this product for you. It does create a smooth even consistency for the potatoes, but it is a bit of a mess and cleaning takes some time. You gotta make sure you don't leave any stuck in the grooves.

I purchased this to mash boiled potatoes. It is quite easy to use. Shorter time than mixer to make mashed potatoes. What I like most is that it is so easy to clean after mashing potatoes, just pull out the pile face and rinse with tap water, that's it. It is so simple that can not be compared to those expensive mixers and food processors. The material is also good. It is stainless steel and very sturdy. I'm satisfied with this.

I wanted to try an other type of potato ricer than the traditional one.This one is coming with 3 different shapes. It is easy to clean but I hand wash.Easy to use you just put the potato into the whole and press and come as you choose the shape.

Welds are just spot welds, it appears they were just in a hurry and half of them are not true welds but just scorch marks. After a few months of use the thing just fell apart.

Upon the first hand washing, it began to rust on the top. Can't imagine that this will stop or get better.Seems to be pretty well made, but the rust thing is a deal breaker.

Interesting kitchen tool. My wife is potato lover so this can help to make some kinds of potatoes dish. It is easy to use and easy to clean. Although it has the teaching video but I think it is good to use.

I always use a ricer to make mashed potato as it guarantees a lump-free result and a creamy consistency. This is not a top-quality ricer, however.Whilst this is supposedly 100% rust-proof, the sample I received arrived with rust already present on the food side of the press, which rendered it unusable in my opinion. I did however run a test press with one potato for review purposes and also found the following:• The fact the interchangeable discs are loose rather than held in place (as they normally are with alternative ricers) caused problems when refilling as the remnants of remaining potato causes a mini airlock, which pulls the disc out of place.• The handles are a little too short to make ricing as easy as it could be, so more user effort is necessary.• Some of the metal edges are poorly finished and feel sharp, so care will need to be taken to avoid cuts in use.I may have had a poor sample and you may be lucky with what you receive, but my experience suggests that quality control is not what it could be, so check it carefully on receipt.

I'd never used a potato ricer before receiving the opportunity to try this - instead having made use of my trusty masher. But this is a good thing, and I'm pleased with the results. The gadget works easily enough - select the mesh disc you want to use, pop it in the basket, then add veg and squeeze the handles.This makes really easy work of cooked, peeled potatoes, and the resulting mash (made using the fine mesh) is perfectly smooth... unlike the results I've been getting with a traditional hand masher! Root veg with peel still on goes through reasonably well, too - although with the fine disc I find that this has to be done in smaller batches as sections of peel block the mesh and have to be picked off. Seems to go through the dishwasher happily enough. Wish I'd tried one of these years ago, as it's much easier and more consistent than the result I've been getting using a masher.
