Hope they fix the design UPDATE: Fixed!
I LOVE the Pick Punch brand and concept. I work in a restaurant and recycle hundreds of used gift cards each month. I was really excited to have something other than guitar picks to make, but the design of this is so bad.It pops the stays out the top, and for me it jams a lot more since its fighting gravity and I get a messed up piece. But the worst part is the puncher has a HARD EDGE right in the middle of it. About 1/4 of the stays I've punched have broken in half at that point. ALL of them have a slight crease there. Why would they make that there? Every other punch has a smooth curve. It's still totally usable. You can bend the stays back and they'll be fine. For someone like me who uses them for crafts, having them all bent is a deal breaker.I'm going to contact them now in case I somehow received a defective model, but I'm pretty sure it's just the design.UPDATE: Yup! As an eager early adopter, I got an early model. It has since been fixed. GREAT customer service. They sent me a replacement after a pleasant conversation about it. The new design is great and clean.

First punch went through like butter. Second punch
This was a drunken order. I didn't realize I'd ordered it till it showed up. I used it to make collar stays from an old credit card. First punch went through like butter. Second punch, ditto. Done. I'm wearing them in my shirt now. Little hidden totems to financial irresponsibility. My life is changed forever. No longer scrounging for collar stays. No longer going in to work without collar stays and having my neck area look like a foreskin. Nah, my neck is perky af now. And it will be forever. This punch is built like a tank. Seriously, it's like they tooled their factory in 1950 and just kept going. I do believe I could pass this on to my grandkids, who can take it to show and tell and laugh about how old prudes used to wear clothes.

Good idea, and good execution
Feels substantial (weight/feel) and it operates well. Good idea, and good execution. And it helps your FICO (credit score) by disposing of active cards! I believe it is worth trying.

Product doesn't work
I wanted to like this product, but had 2 negative deal breakers:1) The product just doesn't work. I wish I could return it, but due to travel and the delayed delivery, I couldn't return it in time for a refund. The punch is SUPER difficult to press - requires a lot of force. I couldn't get it to work at all (even on a piece of paper so it's the tool itself that's having trouble), but the gift recipient tried and got it to work with all his strength. When it finally did punch, we couldn't get the collar stay to come out in one piece. It kept on punching in half rather than as a full collar stay (which of course makes it useless). It's also dangerous - when he finally got it to work, the two pieces flew out and almost poked me in the eye. I'm hoping the one I got is a fluke given that the other reviews are good, but I definitely would not recommend.2) I ordered it with expedited shipping to get here in time for a gift, but what I received was an empty box. The box hadn't been tampered with and seemed to be in perfect condition, but was empty. Turns out, this was an Amazon error (rather than from Pick Punch LLC). I called Amazon and Pick Punch LLC and both were nice about getting me another shipment and waiving the next expedited fee. Still delayed my gift giving and took away some of the oomph.

It's super easy to use and he never had to look ...
I bought this for my husband because his collar stays always got lost in the wash. This works perfectly with all of his shirts. I use the plastic gift cards that you find at any store, old hotel key cards and expired credit cards. It's super easy to use and he never had to look around for collar stays any more. He even took it to work and his colleagues have been using it too! Great product and I would highly recommend it.

My new favorite office tool.
I love this thing!I purchased one for my brother because, like me, he keeps losing his stays. Eventually I'll have to get one myself but for now I'm stocked up as I made liberal use of it before wrapping it back up :DIt really does work like a hole punch but requires just a tad more effort depending on what you're punching from. Also watch out 'cause they come flying up at you instead of down like other punches. I used an old credit card and some rewards cards I never used, managing to get 6 stays out of each. The edges are just a hair rough but can either be filed with a fingernail file or left as-is. They weren't rough enough to cut the material on the shirts so no worries about leaving as-is but I'm also not using delicate materials like silk or have expensive shirts. Then again, if I were willing to put forward the money for expensive shirts I'd get expensive stays. In the future I'd love to see some punch cards sized for this like they do for the pick punch. I know I can use those but they're sized wrong so I'd have to go lengthwise and that just makes me cringe. Still, if you lose or need collar stays, don't get new ones. Get this instead and keep making your own! If you have co-workers that constantly lose theirs, toss a bunch into a box at your desk and start selling them cheap!

Cool Tool!
This is a great gift for a guy who wears shirts that need collar stays. The punch works with ease through gift card plastic!I've even decided to use some punched stays in my Art journal as pointers and book marks. This handheld punch is really sharp and easy to use. I'm very pleased with it.
