Takes a pounding and still holds tight

Nice vise with options very good value and high quality item

In my previous review, I wrote that the vice had a problem rotating. It would always get stuck in the same spot before finishing it's 120 degree rotation. After taking the main body of the vice off the base it became clear that the cause of the stickiness or jamming is due to excess pieces or"blobs" of iron on the groove or track where the locking nuts hold the upper main body in place during rotation. SEE PICTURES.This irregularity on the groove or track catches on the locking nut and jams the upper body as it rotates. This blob of excess iron is due to defective manufacturing [a process known as. "casting"]. Whether this defect is just on this one device or on all of them, is yet to be seen! I will exchange this one for another.

This vice is going to do a good job for me now that I fixed a problem with the auger. It is robust but, it could have been a little better finished. A bit rough around the edges. I purchased mine as a return that was listed as "very good". That was before it was packaged and sent. There was not a manfactured box to ship it in, so Amazon tossed it in a big box with no packing material, therefore it arrived with an open busted box. All the main parts were there but no mounting and use hardware. A trip to buy bolts with several hours of work and it's all good.

Works great , heavy duty . I used it to bend a piece of #4 rebar with no issue

Cheap vise. Not as adjustable as it should be. This came right off the China boat. Soaked in oil, to prevent rust from starting. Be careful if you have nice clothes when unboxing. Literally dripping in oil. Time will tell if it works. The base is poorly casted, so it doesn't get to use its full range of swivel motion.

It's a pretty blue monster that does the job that is supposed to do I'm really impressed with it

I didn't expect much for this price point but, that being said, I find myself DISAPPOINTED.It worked well for Almost 2 years of moderate household projects on the occasional weekend... So, 20-ish uses?!?Then THIS Happened!....As I said, maybe moderate clamping pressure and then POP!.... BUSTED!!! 😡🤬😡
