American Standard-The Best!
This is a perfect replacement for our 25 yr old American Standard one piece toilet. If your not sure of your color lift off the tank lid and its inside. This is our first slow closing seat and we like this feature. I had no problem installing it and its very secure. I don't understand why some other reviewers had issues with the screws supplied. I've been buying American Standard products all my life and never had an issue. Great purchase!

Not a good size match for my American Standard Champion 4 (2004.014.222) from 2008
It may fit fine on newer or 2-peice model Champion toilets but not for my one piece Champion 4 (2004.014.222) from 2008.The seat is fine in all other ways and may be fine for your toilet. In my case, the seat doesn't completely follow the outer rim curve towards the back of the bowl. This seat is designed with a cover that is meant to conceal the seat underneath it (not just close on top of it). Because of that, the seat is not as wide (so it fits under the cover). Lifting to cover shows the rim on the sides where the seat gets narrower. I didn't like that look. It seemed wrong. I bought a different model AS seat that isn't designed to hide the seat under the cover, and it fits much better. The original toilet manual recommended two seat models, but both are discontinued now.

Buy brand for brand.
If you have an American Standard toilet it is best to buy this one. The round ones of other brands are a little bit different!

Low quality
I bought this because of all the positive reviews, but it looks and feels cheap. It doesn’t feel sturdy, slips so much I’ve had to tighten screws several times in the past few weeks, and comes with cheap plastic nuts and screws. I don’t think I’ll bother going to the hardware store and replacing the hardware, this whole thing is going in the trash.

Great seat
Good seat. Quality is great and the soft close lid is nice. Very easy to install.

Perfect replacement for our old seat!
I ordered this to replace a lid on our American Standard toilet which recently broke. The self close mechanism failed and the lid would slam down every time if we forgot. I was skeptical about the so so reviews but I figured for the price I would take a chance and I am SO glad I did. Not only was the fit almost identical to the model we have (discontinued now), but it is so well made and sturdy, better than the original. Easy to install, took me a few minutes by myself without hubby, and it was perfect opportunity to really give my toilet a good scrub while I was at it. I foresee it lasting a long time and when it stops self closing I will repurchase. It came in an American Standard box so it is legitimate, not a knockoff. I never thought I would be so excited for a toilet seat in my life! Ha! The only thing that I can say negative is that the self close is very slow... like very slow... I wash and dry my hands before it is done but I'll take it! Highly recommend.UPDATE: About a day after I posted this I realized what people were saying. I sat down and the seat slide right out from underneath me! When I went to reattach and tighten I realized the bolts were striped and no longer gripped or tightened rendering it unstable. Will be returning and purchasing the Kohler model other reviewers have stated, even though it is not as attractive looking. I have a Kohler in our master bath and I love the seat mechanism, makes cleaning a breeze and it is secure and stable 6 years later. Maybe tightened it one time! Will update after.

Good quality and fits older Champion 4 toilets.
I'm using this on my Champion 4 toilet originally installed in 2008. The original seat for the older model apparently is discontinued, but this fits well. Color is perfect match and function is excellent. Other reviews have stated this seat did not hold properly using the plastic bolts provided. I do not find a see any issue with the bolts - just make sure you install them properly.
