It fit perfectly for me. It went great with my black ruffled shirt. I'm giving it 4 stars because the buttons are PLASTIC. But, their molded design looks flawless. But be careful, since they are plastic they could rip through the loops easily. Easily a vest I will have for years to come.

I wear a size 42 men's jacket and the L fits well. I recommend ignoring the sellers size chart and going with the comments (normal US sizing).The tapestry fabric on the front is a suitably heavy (upholstery weight) and the back is very lightweight black polyester. The adjustment ties fall freely without a buckle, but can easily be tied in a bow. The overlapping fabric is secured by two internal buttons. On that side of the vest the buttons are decorative and sewn to the front of the garment. The free edge has all true button holes.Some trimming of hanging threads was necessary, but this was easily accomplished in a few minutes. Also, the tapestry pattern on the central panel was not as well centered as in the product image.On balance, I am satisfied with the level of quality, especially given the cost. 4 stars

The vest is beautiful but the sizing is way off for American standards. I ordered a 3X and the “3X” is a large equivalent

measure yourself with a tape measure and you should be fine. fits perfectly. buttons and design are really nice

The medium size of this vest is somewhat close to what I would normally get at an American JCPenney or Dillard’s-- with the exception that it is a little more fitted/slim in the stomach area. The overall look of the vest is good. I wish the main fabric was on the back as well; however, for the price it is above my expectations. I make my own Victorian vest from scratch--with high collars--but it takes a bit of time to make them. It is nice to know I can pick up a nice looking Victorian/early 1800' style vest (with high collar) for a good price.

Diese Anleitung befand sich auf der US-Amazon-Seite, wo DarcChic die Weste auch anbietet, in der ausführlicheren Produktbeschreibung, die meistens "weiter unten" steht (jetzt ist sie allerdings auch dort nicht mehr zu finden):1. Das Kleidungsstück, welches als Referenz für die Weste dienen soll, flach auf dem Tisch ausbreiten.2. Abstand zwischen den Unterkanten der Armausschnitte (also von Achselhöle zu Achselhöle) messen.3. Gemessene Länge mit 2 multiplizieren.4. Das Ergebnis ist die Brustweite.Beispiel von mir: Kleidungsstück: Muscleshirt, gemessener Achselabstand: 52,5cm x 2 = 105cm, Größe L bestellt, feddich!Die Weste passt ziemlich gut. Ich habe darin noch etwas "Luft" aber bisher auch nur testweise das Muscleshirt drunter angehabt. Wenn man etwas drunter anzieht, das etwas mehr aufträgt - z.B. ein richtiges (Rüschen?-)Hemd, wird es perfekt passen. Außerdem lässt sich die Weste ja noch hinten per (gebundener) Schleife noch etwas enger machen.Das hintere (rechte) Revers wird am obersten und untersten Knopf (Gegenstück auf der Innenseite) der linken Knopfreihe befestigt und so in Position gehalten.Das Muster sitzt bei mir ziemlich mittig (sogar noch mittiger als auf dem Produktbild) und der Stoff macht richtig was her. Er Erinnert einen wirklich an einen Wandteppich. Das Rückteil besteht aus einem satinähnlichen Material - man schwitzt sich wahrscheinlich also nicht gleich tot.Jetzt meckern auf ganz hohem Niveau:Das EINZIGE was mich etwas stört ist, dass der Aufschlag des linken Revers, welcher etwas oberhalb der rechten Knopfleiste beginnt, durch das Gewicht des Stoffes etwas nach unten durchhängt. Dadurch beult sich die Stelle etwas nach aussen. Dies lässt sich wahrscheinlich noch anders hinbügeln oder durch einen kleinen, zusätzlich angenähten Druckknopf beheben.Alles in Allem ein tolles Kleidungsstück.
