This beater produces a little richer bass sound exactly what I was looking for going to buy a second one for my double pedal

Gives a nice melow tone for Jazz. I also like the balance it gives to my kick stroke.

Been using the beater for small jazz gigs. Works and sounds great!

Really soft sound. Good for feathering the bass drum in jazz, etc.. Does not have much of a bite to it even when hit hard. I ended up swapping it out for my old felt beater after a few days just because I wanted more thud. Keeping it around for softer applications.

If you play blues or jazz buy this fuzz ball kick beater. Take all that laundry out of your kick drum. I have an Emad batter head and a small pad inside that rests against my res head. All the rest of the muffling is handled with this soft beater. Now my kick drum sounds better than it ever has with a beautiful tone. Unless I play hard rock, I’ll probably never take this beater off my kick pedal!

Perfection.. It is exactly as described.. It creates a soft attack but when played harder it has quite a boom quality to it.. Love this beater.

So happy we can put more dynamics into our drum tones with this. If you hit it hard you can still achieve a clickier rock sound, but hitting it soft or medium provides a whole new range of dynamics to play with versus the traditional felt beaters.

i have not used it live as of yet. smaller venue perhaps. i use an 18" bass and this was a bit too muffled and didn't have a "light punch". so i put my old big square felt beater on and layed off it a bit. i will find a gig for this one and glad i have it. fits an iron cobra pedal just fine.
