Great value for money
I use this to replace my sometime-works-sometime-don't Pioneer disc player. The price is the most attractive bit. It has been well build and feel solid. The sound quality is more than reasonable with good clarity. Although it is not the top notch, it can easily be comparable to player costing several hundred pounds.I prefer the display to be a bit larger -- something one can read a couple of metres away.I would respond to some adverse comments here as they made me having some hesitations into buying one.1. The play would not start when a CD has been inserted. That is not a fault. CD players should be designed like this. One has inserted a CD, than should move back to the sweet spot of the HiFi speakers system; it would only then the CD should start playing using the remote commander.2. The CD would not play continuous work. I suppose that it refers to the lack of a skip-gap play function. Gaps have be introduced by the CD manufacturers who think that there should be a break there. Otherwise, they can produce the whole CD without any gap. The skip gap function is something I definitely will turn off if present. It often skip the quite moment in some pieces of classical music -- a highly undesirable function.3. There is no user manual. There is actually one in https://tibo-electronics.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/TI-435-CDP-Manual.pdf4. The clock would not keep time when the unit is powered down. Not an issue for me. Why does one need a clock on a CD-player anyway??

God basic CD/MP3 player, but can be temperamental
Bought this to replace my TEAC player which had suddenly decided that it got bored of what it was laying after a couple of minutes and stopped playing. I had bought TIBO speakers last year and qas very pleased with them, so I opted for the TIBO player. As far as loos, build, sound quality, functionality, etc., it is very good and will suit anyone looking for a basic CD/MP3 player. It plays standard audio CDs, MP3 CDs and can play music from a USB Memory stick appropriately formatted with MP3 music files on.The only complaints I have about the unit, which ios worth mentioning, is that the front jog wheel which acts as play, FF, RW, track skip has a coloured ring which can be changed on the remote only, from red, blue, green and off. However when you turn the unit off, if you have the ring set to off, it turns on with a red colour. The LCD clock is okay, but difficult to see unless you are directly in front of it, and if you physically turn the device off using the switch on the back, you have to reset the clock again when you turn it on, which is annoying. The USB port on the back is also very close to the optical out, so if you have a high quality optical cable with a decent thick plug, you can find that some chunkier USB memory sticks won't fit. The one I have trouble with is a USB/CD card adapter which I frequently use having a stash of SD cards. This will plug in, the the cable locks me using the SD cards in it. It can also on ver4y rare occasions be twitchy if there is something in the MP3 file it doesn't like, and will suddenly stop. I've only encountered this a couple of times and reprocessing the MP3 file ona computer with GoldWave or Audacity fixed the problem. Also, it can't display CD Text or MP3 filenames, so you are stuck with basic track and folder numbers. As a basic unit, you can't go much wrong with this if you're just looking to play CDs and MP3s.

It arrived on time.
Total rubbish. On the first day it started skipping and stopping. ALL my Cd's are perfectly clean and up to date. It takes up to 27 seconds to read a CD before you can play it and sometimes it comes up with no song. When it does play it sounds OK but just stops at some random place or half way through a track.Too much hassle to send it back so will take great pleasure in smashing it up to a million bits.Never again.

Beware
Like all Tibo equipment it's very well made and easy to use. I found the sound was excellent. However that was true until just after 15 months when it started to skip on the odd cd, 5 months later it gave up completely. Unlike the Tibo amp which to this day works like a dream.

British Designed and Developed, British Made?
I bought this to replace a 35 yr old Goodmans CD player. The `British` was a huge incentive since Brexit, but i am struggling to find out where the item is actually manufactured, i`m thinking NOT Britain, as that would have been well boasted in the product description. However, I am very pleased with the product. I have played a variety of music types, and for me they all sound fantastic. I have it set up with my pioneer amp, and jamo speakers, both of which are 30 plus years old, but the sound quality is fantastic. Yes, the main Power On button is on the back, but all the other operations are remote control, which is easy to operate. The CD player was set up, connected to amp, and playing CD`s in 5 minutes. If i had the spare cash, i would be tempted to try a TIBO amp and speakers to see if there was any improvement in sound using all `Same Brand` equipment. To sum up, I would recommend this CD player
