MTB Disc Brake Center Lock Adapter Disc Brake Rotor Adaptor for 6 Bolt Rotors, Fit for Shimano Centre-Lock hubs

This adaptor is well made and finished. It can be used on road wheels as well as mtb wheels. The splined part (hidden behind the silver star shaped bit in the picture) has a step in each of it's 6 arms but the adaptor does not come with any instructions as to which way round it should be fitted to your brake rotor so I used my best judgement and fitted it with the step away from the rotor. The adaptor comes with a thin metal shim, like a large washer, but as there are no instructions I can't see the point of it. I don't think that you should fit the shim between the silver star piece and the lock nut as there are anti loosening grooves on these two pieces and putting a shiny shim inbetween them would negate the purpose of the grooves, so I've left the shim out. My wheels are back on the bike after making a slight adjustment to the position of each brake calliper to stop the pads rubbing the rotor when not braking. The black lockring makes it look very neat.

Exactly as it said on the tin. Fitted my mavic CX wheels perfectly. One thing to note - there doesn’t appear to be a torque setting printed anywhere - so my advice would be “grease it up and do it up pretty bloody tight” (standard shimano cassette lock rings need 40 Nm).

Fits on the wheel perfectly but it does make the rotor rub against one side of the brake pads
