I heard enough stories about my uncle experiencing hearing loss. He lives in rural Kenya. I bought this because I was visiting Kenya recently. I did not want battery operated ones because I feared burdening my uncle with increased costs. Nothing could have prepared me for his reaction. I helped him put these in his ears. The smile on his face was gold itself from heaven. I mean, the old man was just besides himself with joy. He is an old man who is still very active in the community. He is committed to various community development projects, and belongs to many committees, some of which he either presently or has in the past chaired. He was becoming frustrated because he was having difficulty hearing distant sounds like people speaking from across the room. He now says he can hear very well. Great product, very fast delivery, and works as described. Will buy him another set next time I travel to Kenya.

I bought this product a year ago because of the positive reviews. A few remarks:1. It does VERY poor on noise cancellation--as some other reviews pointed out, it amplifies all sounds in the environment.2. It looks like a much cheaper product than it costs.3. As some of the other reviewers said, the good reviews here look very suspicious.

Allowed too much background noise, I could not get either to fit well might be why. Also I'm a longtime hearing aid wearer (of the professional, $2000 type) so that is what I've been accustomed to. I'm so bad about "losing" them, wanted to try less expensive type. Amazon accepted the return and refund easily.

Purchased these for an elderly relative with moderate hearing loss who had expensive hearing aids that were failing and couldn't afford to replace them. The internal batteries on this product were partially charged so my relative could begin using them immediately after putting on the correct earpiece tips. These amplifiers work as well as the expensive ones, in their opinion.The only nit to be picked is that there were no instructions of any kind in the package, so for someone who is "tech-challenged", figuring out exactly what to do could be problematic without assistance.

The lowest volume setting is too loud making it difficult to wear all day and in noisy everyday situations like gas stations, post offices, the pharmacy and so on. It makes a constant static / crackling noise. Still better than nothing, but not quite what I expected. I only wear one at a time in my worst ear. I cannot wear it while using any household appliance. I hear about 67% of words without it and most of them with it but it sounds like everybody is yelling at me on the lowest volume setting.

I bought for my wife who has horrible hearing loss and could no longer hold a conversation. Had previously bought hearing aids for a few thousand dollars from an audiologist which never worked well, had trouble fitting the batteries in, needed expensive batteries replaced almost every day, and were basically worthless and unusable. I decided to try this as the price was so low instead of going back to the audiologist and now my wife hears fine and having a simple charger is a great positive. Solved the hearing loss problem at a low price. Ordered a second unit to have one always charged and ready.

I was extremely disappointed in this product. There was a constant humming sound, even on 1, that gave me headache every time I tried waering them. Also, I wear glasses and had a problem with the device falling off. I tried them for 3 days and then decided they were not for me and returned them to Amazon for a refund.

Purchased For My Wife On Good Reviews& Have Been Very Pleased! She Says They Really Help! I Had To Adjust Volume Because She Says They Really Boost Sound! Much Better Over The Ear Type Then Previous Stick In Ear I Tried,They Always Fell Out! I Like The 2 Chargers Too!You Can Charge Both At Same Time ! They Hold The Charge For Quite A While! A Real Bargin Compared To Hearing Aid Stores!
