This is my third Sweet Dreams electric blanket. I love the fact that the controls are simple. I was looking at an alternative that had so many different possible settings people were finding it took ages to sort them out before going to bed! I was slightly disappointed because this latest one didn't have a fleece covering which my others had, but I've sorted that by buying the most amazing fleece underblanket(Artistic Fashionista* New Soft & Warm Thermal Sherpa Fleece Extra Deep Underblanket Fitted Sheet Bed Cover Mattress Protector). The other reason for only 4 stars is that they don't seem to last more than a couple of years - one or other of the controls stops working. However, I have found the company very good to deal with.

Would have liked the elastic to be a bit more tight,found the under the mattress bit too excessive,apart from that delighted with electric blanket.

I have had a few electric blankets but this rates among the best. Really nice to sleep on with no irritation from the wires. The connection is high enough not to affect sleep. Gets warm quickly and the option for different heat for body and feet is very useful. Overall a really good buy although a little expensive.

Wide range of heat, time setting, generous fitting.

I bought this for my husband who is a cold mortal, whereas I roast in bed. We have a super king bed but with separate euro size single mattresses because he wriggles so much and instead of just turning over he levitates 8” up off the bed, flips over, then drops back down onto the bed - or at least that’s what it feels like! I got fed up of being bounced out of bed so went and bought separate mattresses although I think separate rooms would be preferable! It has been impossible to get a euro single electric blanket - they’re all too short. Not this one, it’s huge. It wraps around the mattress so I dread to think what it’s like on a regular single bed. Anyway, my main gripe is that it comes on on level 6 - the hottest setting. My hubby likes to get into a bed with the chill taken off so he uses level 2 heat. I go to bed before him, usually, so as a dutiful wife I put his blanket on when I get into bed. When he comes up after watching some Bond film or American CSI drama on the telly, his side of the bed is warm enough so that I’m not disturbed by his shenanigans on getting into a cold bed. Honestly, he makes so much noise, you’d think he was getting into a bath full of ice cubes. Shivering, squealing, drumming his heels - more like a 2 year old having a tantrum! The other night he came to bed at the same time as me so his blanket wasn’t on so we had the ice cube scenario! I’d put it on a timer but it comes on at level 6 so that won’t work. Why can’t you set the level it comes on at?

This single electric blanket did not fit as snug as expected, but it does the job and is comfortable.

Plenty big enough for my divan bed. Heat wires are quite noticeable even through a fleece underlay. The crease caused by the way it was folded won’t straighten out which I can also feel. Good position for the plug, right up in the top left hand corner though.My biggest gripe are the impractical flush buttons on the controller. Typically image over practical common sense as with many other goods being sold. I got fed up with having to feel for the correct button in the dark so I’ve solved the problem by sticking one of those small cupboard door buffer pads on the middle button. Why should I have to do that??Crazy.

Overall, this electric blanket is very good - does what it says on the tin! Good selection of heat settings - independently controllable for either side of the bed - also applies to timer settings for each side.This is the second purchase of this item - the first suffered a controller failure on one side after approx 4 months. It was returned & purchase price refunded by Amazon.However, to replace the item I had to buy another one - no replacement was offered. Price had risen by some £5.00 in interim so I am out of pocket in order to replace the faulty blanket.Therefore, 4 stars awarded - definitely not 5!
