are a great addition to a good number of foods. It is not easy to find organic lemons to grate - so I tried granules and found them quite useful. Not just useful but also quite expensive. Frontier Bulk has a great product to offer, it offers it for an excellent price. I am happy with my purchase, and when I run out of peel I will order from Frontier again.

The peels are almost granular which is fine with me. I heard lemon peel is a cancer preventative but that it should be organic which this is. Occasionally I will put it in a hot liquid, but I feel this destroys what is beneficial in it. Therefore, I just bite the bullet and put a teaspoon in a shot of water and gulp it done, not pleasant but hopefully healthy. Very pleased with this product. I do find that it has a nice odor.

I purchased this to perform an experiment in the lab designed to isolate limonene from lemon peel. Limonene is the volatile oil in lemons (and other citrus) that is responsible for the lemony smell and taste. It is the major component in lemon zest that is desirable for flavor.The first thing I noticed upon opening this product was a brunt smell, as noted by other reviewers. We went ahead with the experiment, but unfortunately this product has no limonene as verified by HPLC. Whatever process they are using to dry this product removes the essence of the lemon. If you are buying this to add lemon scent or flavor to something you are making, you will be disappointed as it doesn't have any.

It's pretty good, and adds a nice lemon flavor to foods, but is not as lemony as I expected. Some other bulk lemon peel I've used in the past was very lemony. To achieve similar results with this lemon peel, I need to increase the amount by about 20 percent.

First let me start by saying that I did not purchase this product for consumption. I have an all-natural, 100% organic skincare regimen. I wash my face with raw honey and mix in these granules as an additional source of vitamin C. The added bonus is the texture - it provides an effective but not overpowering exfoliating source that combined with the honey leaves my skin bright and perfectly moisturized. Give it a try - you will be pleasantly surprised!

Granules are way too small! Need larger pieces!

Used for bath products, not food. Excellent smell and color. Size was perfect for my purposes, though maybe a little small for cooking.
