Hoping this review helps others sort through these ladders and avoid poor quality and returns (like I had to do). Buy the cheapest ones and get just that. Invest more and get this one.The material is heavier gauge and it’s sturdy. Cheap ones are not heavy enough and will fail.This one is a good choice for price and value.

I looked at several swim platform ladders and selected this one because of much higher quality and better locking mechanism.

This is very well built. It is sturdy and made of stainless steel. My family loves that I added it to our boat for easy entry. A little expensive, but if you buy a cheap one, I know you will regret it at some point when it breaks.

The ladder appears to be made of good quality materials. We have only used it once, but it worked great. It would be great if the manufacture would include a templet for the bolt hole location in the box. This is the only ladder I could find with a lock to hold the ladder in place.Bruce
