Bandai Hobby RX-78-2 Gundam Ver.KA, Bandai Master Grade Action Figure

This gundam was amazing to build. Quality was amazing. Had a ton of fun building it with my son! Highly recommend it!Color was awesome and the detail was also on point.

Good details and Colour, good joints ,stickers are not friendly with noobs (i prefer water stickers), some instructions are not clear at all, needs some experience to avoid mistakes

I love the detail in this version of Gundam, even with out it's decals. Most people my age or younger may find it hard to enjoy this piece, seeing that it is very boxy and dated. However, seeing that the RX-78-2 is the granddady of all Gundams, for a collector it's a must have. The joins in the arms in legs have so far remained stiff, while having good flexibility. It's able to balance quite easy, I've had it in some goofy posses and I haven't had it fall over once. I think my favorite part of the kit has the be the core fighter. It's a very nice touch, and even comes with a core block, so you can display the core fighter. There are still a few things I don't like about the kit, but they are small, and I have to take into fact that it's a redesign. The gold cross is removed form the shield, the eyes are green, not yellow, the targeting scopes are just clear, and not yellow (yes, I'm missing all the yellow). However, I'm still happy and impressed to add this one to my collection, and it was a great build for my girlfriend and I.

A very nice kit. Hajime Katoki's redesign of the original RX-78-1 Gundam has a nice modern look and great articulation. The parts/color separation is very nice, and the kit looks nice even without detail painting. Make sure that you cut off the plastic nubs off the parts as some parts will not be able to slide together without damaging the part they're sliding into. This kit also has left over parts in one of the runners, that you can use to make up a GM core-block (I think?). Overall I'd highly recommend the kit to just about any GUNPLA/Gundam fan, though it may be a little difficult for beginners.

The build for this kit was pretty straight forward and easy to follow. If you are a fan of Gundam Wing and Virtual On this version of the Granddaddy Gundam is a must.One tale of caution I have for this kit is to keep in mind that this kit is older and the plastic can become quite brittle when using Tamiya Panel Liner. I would suggest sticking with Gundam liner markers.There isn’t a place for an led light, but that’s nothing a few model train leds and YouTube can’t fix!

The runners are sealed and complete, but the box is heavily dented as there's no bubblewrap, it was just directly packed in a plastic bag.

Bought as a Christmas gift for my brother. He loved it and let me just say.... he is not an easy person to please. Get it, it’s definitely worth it.
