toothbrush ok but support awful
This toothbrush is defective. I tried to put in the new battery sent with the first refill. The battery compartment WILL NOT OPEN. I tried everything—including a hammer and chisel. I tried to call Quip. All I got was an answering machine where I left my number and never got a call back.

It's a timer, not an electric toothbrush
It's just a fancy toothbrush with a timer built into it. That's all it is! The bristles itself does not move or vibrate at all. I thought mine was just broke but then I realized that's how it was made. It has no real functionality to make the bristles do any moving, which is how most electric toothbrushes function. And that makes the whole "electric" aspect of this brush pointless. You can just look the timer on your cellphone and brush your teeth. Unless you'd really like to spend almost $80 on an item that basically alerts you for brushing your teeth for 2 min. I highly don't recommend wasting your money on this, if you're actually looking for a proper electric toothbrush and not a timer.Also, I reviewed this product on their website and quip social media pages and they removed my comments. And when I messaged them and asked them why, they blocked me. That should tell you all you need to know about this brand.

No active refill plan means no warranty
Just a heads up for potential buyers... if you do not enroll in and then continue the refill program for brush heads, they will not honor their warranty on the mechanical handle.Email from Quip: “If you reactivate your Refill Plan, your toothbrush will be covered under warranty again.”If you buy Quip for travel and do not use it enough to need new brush heads and batteries every 3 months, you have no warranty on the mechanical handle.Quip website: “If there are any outstanding disputes of payments, orders or charges associated with your information, this will void your warranty until they are removed or resolved.”You MUST provide a credit/debit card that they can continually charge automatically or you have no warranty.
