Il Trovatore: Vocal Score Hardcover – November 1, 1986

In the 19th century there was no better opera composer than Verdi and Il Trovatore has all the romance, passion and drama that one can endure. Do get this score and decide which role suits you and dream your way to heaven by learning it, or at least imagining performing it.

This edition is the one that every singer should get. It doesn't have the terrible english translation. ( it has a minor typo on Ferrando's first recite, but thats all)

I realized that it was not the correct edition, but I had already marked in the book. The cover in this picture is the newer edition. I wish I would have noticed that this was not correct. I will go through it and make the changes, but I am not really pleased about this.

Easy to read score with Italian vocal text. This score does not have the distracting English text. It is easy to use if performing the opera in Italian.

Wonderful Ricordi score bound for many years ahead. It will last much longer than my schirmer paperback ones!!! Excited to get working on this beautiful music.

Prodotto in linea con tutti gli altri spartiti di opere liriche complete per pianoforte e voce.E' vero che nell'annuncio era scritto che il testo era in inglese ed italiano, ma essendo "Il Trovatore" un'opera scritta in italiano, dall'italianissimo Giuseppe Verdi, immaginavo che l'italiano fosse la prima lingua riportata sotto lo spartito, invece è solo la seconda, cosa VERAMENTE ASSURDA e che genera confusione in fase di studio.

La calidad de la impresión es excelente, el papel es muy bueno, el empastado es sólido y tiene mucho espacio para hacer anotaciones. SIN EMBARGO, mi única queja es que por ese precio, debería de tener el texto italiano como primario, y está como secundario, cosa que me choca con todo el resto de la edición, que es excelente, pero sí resulta algo molesto, por esperarse de una dover o alguna schirmer, pero no de ricordi. Como sea, vale mucho la pena aún así.
