Jess: come here Tyler, no! go away, go away... Tyler: I love you Jess, I'll wait
Epic is the third in the series of Tyler, Jess and now Kaleb. Jess is a lost girl, looking for roots, for her long lost father. While she's madly in love with Tyler the class difference has a role in her self esteem and her indecision. This book starts off with Jess going to New Zealand to reunite with her father. She's looking for answers, not looking for love. She finds more love than answers about her past. This comes in the form of Kaleb, her step mothers nephew. (?) Yes, thats who he is. Jess is approached at the airport about making a commercial to promote New Zealand and actually lands the role. Kaleb also is cast in the commercial where he and Jess have to act out being a romantically involved couple. Which leads to actually being a romantically involved couple. Which leads to confusion when Jess is dealing with her emotions about Tyler. It sounds more complicated than it is, the author does a great job of sorting out who is who and keeps you reading and reading and reading! The whole series is great, just a cliffhanger. This one is so involved in Jess and Kaleb, her search for truth about her mother, and trying to sort thru her feelings for Tyler. So many times I just wanted to scream at Jess to grow the hell up and put on her big girl panties. I got frustrated with the characters in this book. But I kept reading, and I'll continue reading to the end.

Spoilers. Proceed with caution.
The book is not bad. I liked the 1st two more but this is also well written, however I do not like Jess. She is annoying and has been since the first book. She seems to struggle to deal with people and then behaves as a victim when things get out of control. How she handled Rick, letting that escalate until it was totally crazy. Her MO seems to be to move on to the next guy without closing the door on the old relationship. She is doing the same thing to Tyler. She wants Kaleb and rather than admitting it and being honest with Tyler she uses his mistakes to justify her cheating...and it is cheating because she never broke up with him. She needed a few days to think but during that time she sleeps with Kaleb. She is a mess and I hope Tyler finds someone who appreciates and really loves him and can move on from her. She doesn't deserve him. She and Kaleb deserve each other.

An Epic Adventure
Jess Donovan is off to New Zealand to visit the father she doesn’t remember and hasn’t seen for 14 years. As her life was falling apart at the end of Random she was able to reconnect with her father and Epic starts out with that journey. This is a very entertaining story. You have the mystery of why Jess and her mother left New Zealand in the first place (Jess is still trying to find out about that). The new people Jess meets and the usual confusion about life decisions, young love and trying to make it all make sense. It’s a wonderful illustration of how the people we come in contact with complicate our lives but how dreary and unsatisfying life would be without them.Having never traveled to New Zealand I was fascinated by the descriptions of the country. It sounds amazing and Lark O'Neal's beautiful descriptions of the scenery really make me want to see it.

Jess is trying out a new life
After leaving to meet her dad in New Zealand Jess finds more than she eve hoped for. Katy, her dad's wife, is sweet and kind, Darcy and Kaleb are a surprise nice addition to the house and the commercial offer I over the top. Jess and Tyler have to figure life out away from each other, and Kaleb and Jess have every opportunity to get to know each other very well....May the best man win.

Omg epic made me so mad!!!
First off let me say I read the first two books in this series. Loved the first two but three was a big disappointment why? Well first off I don't like reading same story twice. Everything that happens in two was redone in three. I found myself skipping alot of pages. Well most of the book really. Two is Tyler view three is Jess view. Repeat!!!!! I actually didn't like Jess in this book I don't like the way she acted out what she did!! I really don't like cousins doing things they shouldn't!!! But I must say I have to read the next book cause I have to find out what Tyler is gonna do!!

Favorite in the series so far!!!
So far, this is my favorite book in this series. I loved the setting in New Zealand and Jess's father. I think it's a testament to the author's skill that I still LIKE all the characters, considering the rollercoaster Jess has been on throughout the story and usually in a triangle there's one person who has the advantage.I can't wait for the next book to see what happens between Jess, Kaleb, and Tyler!

Awesome
Enjoyed this series so far. I'm anxious to find out how Lark O'Neal is going to have Jess decide between Kaleb and Tyler. I was rooting for Tyler in the beginning but now I feel that Kaleb & Jess have more in common. Please hurry and release book four!! Hopefully that will be last in series.

LOVE this triangle!
This could be a spoiler... but how can I love both of these men? It's easy to see why Jess does! A love triangle is fun to read when the characters are so well defined. Great series, I don't know how I'll make it until December to see what happens next!

Not as good as the first book
Although I absolutely am not a fan of cliffhangers and books separated into parts, I enjoyed the first book enough to purchase the 2nd and 3rd. Unfortunately, these just weren't as good as the first. I felt the author was trying to force the new relationship and I genuinely didn't feel the chemistry. I wish I'd read this before I preordered the 4th book because I'm not too sure I'm interested in reading it.
