I have struggled with low back pain for years and this is my go to for pain or spasms .First time users need to beware the area stings like a sun burn for 2 hours when placed initially. The pain goes away..first time users should not wear it more then 4 hours before checking the skin as some people have been know to get skin irritation and a slight skin burn...the more you use this product the better it works but you must scale up slowly to wearing more than 8 hours...I know wear one all day when my back flairs up. Areas of skin that are thin tend to be more subject to skin irritation...keep is. Mind the activity ingredient is capsaicin which is what causes the hot sensation in chili peppers 🌶

These are the only thing that works for my back pain. Since taking Tylenol or Advil too often is bad for you I feel this is a safer and very effective option. I prefer the HOT pads because the regular ones don't work as well for me.

I had spinal fusion surgery in 2017 due to a bad car accident in my teens. As a 30-something I have thoracic back pain every day and I have tried everything to help dull the pain. I used to take prescription meds and OTC pain meds like Advil etc., but I don’t like the idea of taking pills constantly, so I tried every patch on the market. Salonpas Hot is hands down the best patch out there.I wear one patch everyday to get relief and these actually work. The heat lasts over 8 hours, but it is not so hot that it’s uncomfortable. The patch sticks very well, but does not leave a glue like residue on the skin nor is it difficult to remove. I recommend it to anyone who deals with chronic back pain and prefers topical medication over pills.The only thing I would is a negative about any patch, is that if you are putting the it on your knee or other area that bends, it will not stay in place. It’s best for the back.

Note: I am not a medical professionalI have chronic wrist pain, and use patches like these overnight to alleviate it while I sleep. I had tried several brands, but this one works best for me.The combination of ingredients in Salonpas' formula edges out the competition in terms of relief without the burning often found in products containing capsaisan.One thing you must realize is that these patches do not function like pain relieving pills. They work on a theory of nerve antagonization - basically overloading the nerves that fire when you feel pain with other sensations, making it impossible for them to fire off the pain impulses. So they only work when you are wearing them, and only as long as you feel the tingling sensation - not like a pill that works for hours after you take it. Take off the patch and the pain comes back in short order.With that in mind, they do work to alleviate pain while I wear them - for up to 7-8 hours at a time. They do not have any ongoing effect or cumulative effect, but I don't need them for that.

Having only been "put on" to this line of products by Salonpas, our family has quickly displaced all other patches, rubs, and gels in favor of this quick acting solution to our pains. Each of the products in this line from Salonpas seems to work faster, getting to the root of our pains. Great product! So, I now have to say the same accolades for the sister products.

Tried this patch twice. The first time i had to take it off because it burned so bad. If I laid on it it felt like a really hot heating pad. The second night I have it another try. I managed to keep it on because my back pain was so bad. When I took it off it felt like a really bad sunburn. The water in the shower was on luke warm temperature and it stung like a mother. Wouldn’t recommend if you have sensitive skin.

WoW!I can't believe it took me so long to try these. I would have to say these are the best on the market. Incredible! Much better than icy hot patches, better than tiger balm. Currently a favorite & a must have. Order at least 6 boxes a month.
