4 cards double sided. Hence possible combinations are 8(c)*4(v)*8(c)(e, 4cs on reverse side captured in first 8). That's 256 possible combinations.Not every one of those 256 combos is a word, but if you're teaching the CVCe pattern, the child probably already knows a few words. That lends flexibility I valued while teaching my child.As of 10/2/2020 there are abysmal resources for teaching long vowel sounds. I'm very thankful I found this resource.

Loved it until the error
This flips board was great for my 4year old until we reached what is supposed to be cube. I even checked twice to make sure we were flipping it correctly and no, this a manufacturer error. I would actually like a corrected item, even if I need to send this one back.

Great Reading Start
Did not purchase in this site.This has been the most helpful tool in helping my 4 yo start her reading journey. She knows the sounds of the letters, so she was able to quickly comprehend this "game" and mastered it in no time. We have additional blend flips that were a little more challenging in the beginning. She is now beginning to read some step 1 books, but she still enjoys coming back to these on a regular basis just to refresh.
