Thai Fisherman pants are loose-fitting, light and very comfortable. Thais call these pants 'kang keng lay'. Kang keng means 'pants' and 'lay' means sea, as they were originally worn by Thai fisherman. Fisherman pants are great for relaxing around the house or a stroll at the park. Now they are predominantly used for beach, casual and exercise wear. Fisherman pants are unisex. One size fits all (up to 52" waists, length of 38". fits to ankle of persons up to 5'10", but is usually worn short).

Cozy; Not recommended for Big & Tall.
User: Adult, Male, waist of 42", height of 6'2", 220 imperial pounds.Seems a bit small for the type of garment. I would not recommend for those with waist size 40-inch or larger as there is insufficient fabic to guarantee a good tuck on the front fold. The fabric is a bit thicker than most other brands but still breathable, which is acceptable. The seat is a little high, so for those standing over 6-foot can lead to some undesired constriction towards the groin. Personally, I feel apt to blow out the rear should I engage a squat without considering the garment.Suitable enough for lounging around the house. Though I doubt I will be purchasing this style again, solely for the sizing. The vendor does note that it is better suited to those under 5'10" tall.

Looks great!
I'm part of a larping group and I needed some loose fitting pants for the upcoming cooler weather. Since I'm a little on the chunky side, finding something actually loose on me is hard to come by and is usually expensive. These were none of those things. They're very comfortable, they breathe well, and I think I'll actually be able to wear sweats under them if it gets too cold in the coming months. The only reason why I'm giving it four, instead of five stars, is because there is only one pocket and it's not that deep. I would would have preferred two deep pockets.

Pretty decent pants
I'm 5'4" and for me, the length fits just like in the picture. The pants are a little too wide for me at 145 lbs which means that there's a lot of material to contend with in the front where the material is overlapped and folded over, but I'm all right with that. The color is a vibrant blue that goes toward the purple. Stong material. Not scratchy. Not super soft. It's not perfect but I like it. Especially that the material is thicker and stronger than my other fisherman's pants.

Comfortable, Airy, A Little Sheer
Another purchase specifically for a dance performance that is likely to find its way into my regular summer wardrobe.Do note that these are just a tad sheer--whatever you wear under them may be just a bit visible. That said, they're not sheer enough to be indecent. They served perfectly, by the way, to enhance the fluid movement style of the pieces I performed in them--so they're definitely a good fit if you're a dancer or flow performance artist building a wardrobe for freelance gigs.

This is my second pair of Thai Fisherman pants. This is my first full length pair. I am an even 6 ft tall, and true to description these pants fall nearly perfectly to JUST above my ankles once the drawstring is tied and adjusted to a secure and comfortable state. I have full range of motion with these pants and they do not catch when I stretch or kick in the air. Only one pocket, but that appears to be the absolute norm for these pants. If they made pants with more than one pocket I would give even higher praise, though generally these pants are not intended for carrying items.

GREAT PANTS! GREAT PRICE! GREAT BUSINESS!
Oye! This has got to be the latest review I have ever written! Nonetheless, here we go! I've had these pants for a few months now, and I must say they're awesome! They've succeeded where some other pants that I used to own have failed. I've also recently placed an order for another pair of these pants and I can't wait to receive them! Great pants; well worth the price!

I do like the comfort and fit
I do like the comfort and fit. The description says they will hit the ankles of a 5' 10" person but if you are taller expect them to be short on you. I'm 6' 3" tall and my Thai fisherman pants hit mid calve on me. The description was accurate. The ties are short for my 33 inch waist. If you are looking for lounging pants that fit you if you are taller then 5' 10" then I would suggest doctors scrubs. If you want something different then these may be the ticket. The shipping was fast since they ship from here in the US. Why wait and pay for overseas shipping.

One size if you are over 300lbs maybe. I had room to wrap the waist 2.5 times. Put this in the clown drawer!
