Mantello Perfect Cigar Cutter Stainless Steel Double Blades in Gift Box

Back in July 2015 I bought this very same cutter (Amazon link is the same) but that cutter was heavy-duty and had a depth-stop so that each cut was a maximum of 1/8" thick. It was great, even if it did cost $2.51 more.I wanted another one for the shop, so I ordered it again. I used the same link I did in 2015, and the product image was the same. The cutter I received, however, lightweight and the cutter has no depth-stop. (See photo - the older one on top is from 2015; notice it's twice as thick as the newer one.) If you need to lop off 1-2" from the end of the cigar, fine -- that's necessary sometimes when correcting a bad burn -- but I expected and wanted one with a depth-stop. I used the same link from my 2015 order expecting the same product, but got something different. Caveat emptor.That said, the new one is sharp, cuts cigars pretty well, and should last a year or two of heavy use. It's just NOT the same thing they sold at this URL several years ago so don't be confused but the contradictory product reviews. (But do notice the glowing reviews are from 2015...)By the way, to see a cigar cutter with a "depth stop" just search Amazon for "cigar cutter exact cut." I got the Cuban Crafters one with carbon fiber doo dads and it's a GREAT cutter, and comes with a solid "we'll replace-it-free-for-life" warranty.

I got this for my dad for Christmas with some Cuban cigars. My sister got him a humidor. It was a surprising little tag team gift for him. A good gift for someone who already has everything.

This cutter works great!I needed a cutter rather quickly but I didn't want to spend too much on it so I decided on this one.So far it has worked wonderfully and cuts perfectly on every cigar I have tried it on so far. Mine came with the depth stop which does seem to help with the cut and makes it more uniform and easier to use. Only thing I would have to say perhaps bad about it is that it is quite heavy and thick and may seem a bit of a hassle if you were to carry this around.Definitely a good buy and a good cutter.

Sturdy design, easy to use. So easy, it feels like I'm cheating. I like to smoke Cohiba and Romeo y Julieta, Churchills mostly. But I also dabble into other sizes, and even have used this on the Pequeno size cigars. Perfect cut everytime. I've not tried a torpedo with it yet, but the little hole in the backplate is there so that you can use it for those. I would say if you like to cut but haven't mastered the art of finding the right spot on the cap to cut off, try this cutter. For the price it is a great deal.

This, without a doubt, is the best cigar cutter I've ever owned and I have Davidoff and other big name cutters. First of all, the blades are sharp. Secondly, the way this cutter is constructed, you get a perfect cut every time. I've been smoking cigars for over 25 years and this is the best cigar accessory I've ever purchased. And the price? It's so much less than what I've forked over for other cutters. Do yourself a favor and jump on this deal before they figure out what they've got and raise the price!!!!!!

Good Product. Used it a few times now cuts precise, with no issues, great value.Only thing holding it back from perfect 5 stars for me is it would be nice to have a softer feel inside the finger holes the metal isn't comfortable feel when used!Thanks!

I was concerned regarding few of the negative comments upon the product but the cutter worked perfect so far on the 10+ stogies i burned in this week.I'm not sure if is made with surgical steel but the appearance of the body and the sharpness of the blades makes this cutter a nice and elegant tool for the cigar aficionado.Totally recommended.!

Works just as good as the expensive cutters i have bought, it's not as sturdy or heavy duty as them but it clips exactly the way you will need it. It's lightweight and is now the cutter i use as a carry when traveling. Came in a nice storage box also and you just can't beat the price on this.. it's a stealEdit: I bought this at the price of $6.99 so keep that in mind for my review
