I don't normally do reviews but thought this was important.My mom was struggling to eat and shakes was all she can do.She liked the taste of these shakes and it's all she wanted until she passed.Get these shakes guys there worth it.

After a car accident left my husband with a broken neck, several fractured vertabrae and a couple of cracked ribs, he spent a month in the ICU at Yale and another month at a top rehab facility. Maintaining adequate caloric intake wearing a neck brace was difficult, especially in light of the fact that his diet has been 100% organic for decades (and he has a sensitive, discerning palate). He only stopped losing weight after the folks at Gaylord Rehab introduced him to Kate Farm's products, and now -- more than a year later -- Kate Farms products are a staple in our house (any flavor or formula, as long as it's chocolate).I agree that Kate Farms products ain't cheap, but these are meal replacement drinks, and when you compare the price of a Kate Farms nutrition drink/shake (or two) to what a meal would cost, they aren't unreasonably priced:One Kate Farms Standard 1.0 Chocolate (costs $3.33, 16 gr protein, 12 gr fat, 38 gr carbs, 325 calories and 260 MG SODIUM)VSOne Big Mac (costs $3.99, 25 gr protein, 30 gr fat, 45 gr carbs, 550 calories and 1010 MG SODIUM).Except Kate Farms is healthier -- and the quality of the ingredients is out of this world.I mean it when I say that the Kate Farms drinks saved my husband's life. The Standard Chocolate 1.0 is excellent, and the Chocolate Nutrition Shake and the new Chocolate 1.4 are products that we absolutely have to keep on hand. We cannot recommend them highly enough.

Kate Farms Adult Standard 1.0 Formula-Vanilla and Chocolate FlavorsThis product is wonderful!!! Both flavors are NOT super sickly sweet. Not gritty. No nasty after taste. Just simply delicious! I finally found something I can tolerate. My GI Nutritionist recommended this to me. She gave me some samples to try and the standard 1.0 vanilla and chocolate were the winners! It's helped me maintain weight and my labs are steady. This product is a blessing!!! While these are pretty expensive...please check the sites that sells these and have a chat with your nutritionist and see about any available discounts. I need 3-4 a day...so that can get very expensive. Insurance won't help since this can be bought "over the counter". But to me, it's a life saver. So if you're tired of the super sweet, thick, gritty, nasty after taste and the upset GI feeling OTC expensive shakes......then please give these a try. You won't be sorry! The standard formula also comes in a 1.4, which means more calories per container. Good luck!!!

I have IBS and sometimes my guts just aren't ready for solid food in the morning, but at the same time I need to get up and get ready for a full day of activity. For years I lived almost exclusively on Soylent, but it gave me all sorts of digestive problems, and they kept changing the formula, and every time they changed the formula it caused different digestive problems for me. This stuff is used in hospitals and has a proven record, so I feel confident that it won't make me ill. It strikes a good balance of cost, taste and digestibility.

I have certain health issues that make me lactose intolerant and I needed to increase my intake of protein so I could heal at the time. I had also been hospitalized for 4 weeks and the dietitian recommended this brand of protein shakes for me to help my recovery along. This was a pretty good deal and the chocolate tastes great. You can't usually find it in the big cases like this for this price. However, on several occasions when I'd receive my package the cases were open and sometimes one or two of the shakes were pretty beat up and rolling around inside the box with the case. Still drinkable but beat up, one shake was so beat up it wouldn't even stand up properly. Anyway they really did help in my recovery and I got back to a healthy weight. I'd recommend just keeping your receipts just in case one might be busted when you open it.

Best tasting of all the shakes I tried. No sugar, not too thick.

I’ve tried this before at a family’s home. It tasted very good and I tolerated it well. I ordered a case and upon arrival I refrigerated a few cartons as I liked it cold. I opened and drank the first container. The flavor and taste just wasn’t like the one I previously tried. Maybe it sat on the front porch too long as it was 85-90 degrees outside. I can’t drink anymore due to bad taste and in fear of getting sick. I then went to fill out the return only to learn the item could not be returned. I’ve been a prime member for years and must say I’m very disappointed. If I were to try a different drink I would be very careful before buying. This was not a good experience for me.

Best product I ever tried. All flavors are delicious. Works well in my morning smoothie. I have hypoglycemia ( low blood sugar) and it doesn't cause a spike. Just purchased a month supply. Save $$$ with subscribe and saveorders !! Highly recommend.
