Update: 1/21/2025, Only lasted 3 months! Not an easy install to only last this long! Original Review: 10/4/2024, This fit my 2006 Ford Mustang perfectly. Will have to see how long it lasts.

I edited my post to reflect my actual experience. After two months it started to click and I thought oh well get another but from autozone. Once I got it off to change it the little arm that moves the vent open and close was out of its seat. So with a little adjust of the gear that went past its turning point I secured the little arm back and it’s back working. So double check the arm is seated well into the actuator and the product is as good as new.

Was very happy with this part. I bought it based on a great youtube video where the person showed how to install this after taking your glovebox and airbag out. Then you have to install it near the middle of your dash above where the stereo has openings. It's a bit hard to get to, you really need to get good lighting in there. I have a alarm and that was in the way also so it was a good 2 hour project. The air is blowing perfectly now though. Happy I made this purchase and finished the project.

This fit perfectly for the purpose I needed it too, and it worked great, until it didn't. It lasted about 6 months and then broke in the same way the one before it did. Felt extremely cheap, comparable price to brick and mortal stores, and not worth the headache. For a similar price I went to Autozone where they have a lifetime warranty, so even though they fail in a similar time, I was able to just bring back the old one and swap for a new one for no extra cost, unlike here.

Does it have the 4 pins standard to the car and you must go through the reset procedure for it to work

This fit in my vehicle. Watching videos on YouTube helped a bunch. There are two of these located behind the radio area. I replaced the upper after removing both the glove compartment and airbag. It's a tight area to work in with structural frame components to work around. Don't drop the screws. This solved the loud clicking sound at start-up. It functions as it's supposed to.
